Why do you think I'm joining the RAF? It's not for the uniform or free holidays [presuming you want to go on holiday to such lovely destinations as the Falkland Islands or Afghanistan], it's for the subsidised booze

At my old place [which was expensive by RAF standards] a pint of Kronenbourg cost me 86p. A double soco&coke cost me about £1.60.

Then there was happy hour :coma: 2 for 1

Sigh, I know. It makes perfect sense really. And some of the best nights were had when we didn't even leave the flat!

I have told you there's an invite to a ball waiting for whenever it's feasible

You better make sure your fellow Warwickians [now that's a word!] are fully indoctrinated in how to become an alcoholic:yep:

Yay I still need to find a fancy dress (for the freshers ball, and other society balls too, yay for being able to wear the same dress multiple times and nobody being any the wiser) because I've decided that my newest purchase is really more of a going out dress than a sit down and eat dress, especially if everyone else is wearing something lovely.

Oh I will. Although I'm going to be cutting back a bit myself...living healthily really does wonders for a person.

What does a mess uniform look like?

I'm thinking a Coast gown will do nicely.

After stealing some images from some friends on fb, the best examples I can give are:

I looked into town planning! But then I looked into practically everything, so that doesn't count for much :p:

And I actually was at Sheffield this last year - you'll love it there, seriously.
