I think italy don't have too much of a problem besides attack, pazzini hasn't been at his best(milito has been saving inter recently) there's always balotelli, I think their midfield is so underrated though, pirlo, marchisio, aquilani, giovinco, cassano(if he's fit), motta(dunno how he's doing at PSG atm), then you have the typical average joes(similar to england) with players like montolivo

Also chiellini, ranocchia, criscito and abate/maggio can make a good defence too. Is barzaghli italian as well?

My bet is on italy to get a huge slice of luck. Italy or france.
I think when you're a 'big' nation and attack is your problem then it can be detrimental. It's possible to get by with a weak-ish defence at international level but if you have an attack that is weak-ish/goal-shy...not so much. Some of the names Italy have on paper are impressive, but this is a question of the form of those players. They have Spain in their group who'll be difficult, Croatia and Ireland are well-organised sides who are more than capable of stifling them. Fortunately this time, unlike at the WC, they should have a fully fit Pirlo and other creative sparks.

I think so too. Madrid has a huge stadium with over 90 000 spectators. I'm sure that will be an inferno next week.
85,454... don't know where the 5000 extra imaginary seats came from

I was wonder when I have read it after the match. Perhaps, there were fans of Madrid who would love to have original dresses of Real Madrid's players all the while?

My one concern about Real for the second leg against Bayern, is that if they go 1-0 up, they'll try and sit back and defend their advantage, kind of like they did in the first leg at 1-1.

I think they'll win the La Liga even if they lose the Clasico, the game at Bilbao could be a potential banana skin though.

By the end of the season La Liga will have overhauled the Premier League in the Uefa rankings.

Did not realise that.. makes sense with their strong showing in the Europa league for a few years and Barcelona consistently doing well in the champions league.
