I'm a little perplexed here I did 2 of each science 1-3 and 4-6 all higher and then the 3 lots of coursework.

That's what I did. It sounds like you did core and additional. Basically you get an overall grade for the core. And overall in additional. Each exam was 25 percent of your gcse 1-3 was 75 plus coursework of 25. The same for the other one. You have a spare coursework as they pick your best grades.

I did triple however people from my school who did the double award did it this way because it basically gives you 3 chances to get good grades as opposed to 2,as you said.

Yeah our triple was with Edexcel if that helps at all? We might be on different exam boards?

Nope I was aqa and I did core and additional. I have no idea how you can possibly sit 6 exams and still do triple science

Do you get an overall physics, chemistry and biology grade or do you get core, additional and further additional?

Sorry for sounding like a idiot but what is core and what is the additional?

It doesn't make 100% though I heard 1-3 was like circa 35% and 4-6 circa 45% and remaining coursework on top.

Firstly I did aqa so it may be an exam board thing.

Basically core science is where you sit unit one of biology, chemistry and physics. These together add up to 75 % you also do an open exam called an isa this is worth 25% totalling to 100%.

Additional science is the same apart from you sit the unit 2 exams and have to do another isa and these all add up to 100%

Core and additional are two different gcse's but both science related. I have no idea what you are talking about

Yes they are two separate qualifications. In August you will get your results that should read

    Science *grade
    science additional *grade
