    Made mistakes?

Uncontrolled mass immigration, serious damaging to the economy under tony Blair and Gordon brown, and illegal war in Iraq which has ultimately resulted in the refugee crisis of today, the 1,400 children in Rotherham who were sexually abused by Islamics, the fact that Harriet Harman sympathises with peadophiles and has connections to the pedophile information exchange, the fact that Diane Abbott spent £12,000 on a portrait of herself and thinks white people are somehow 'privilahed', how Chuka Ammuna thinks that white people shouldn't be allowed to take up high-end jobs to allow black people to take them, the 'open-door' policy, the discontinuation of Royal Yacht Britannia, I could go on

As far as I know, Blair, Brown, Harman, Abbott and Ummmuna aren't in the TSR Labour Party.

A question particularly to those who identify as scum of the earth, aka socialists: to what extent do you believe the welfare state should cover those unwilling to work and do you agree with sanctions against such people?

    Posted from TSR Mobile
Personally, I don't. If you're able to work and unwilling, there is no reason why you should be subsidised by the hard work of those who are willing. Anyone who doesn't think this isn't a real socialist.

Let's take these one by one.

Uncontrolled mass immigration: not even remotely close to true.

Serious damage to the economy under Brown and Blair: admittedly, claiming to have abolished the business cycle and subsequent deficit spending during boom years was a bad idea, but the Tories have performed worse since coming to power, and economic poor performance generally is a consequence of the combination of democracy and the public's lack of understanding of economics.

An illegal war in Iraq: deposed Saddam, only a bad idea because of the lack of a plan to build domestic institutional capacity and then to exit

Which caused the refugee crisis: lol no, don't be stupid

Rotherham: Yes, the Labour party mandated the abuse of each of these children

Your claims about Harriet Harman sound like something off Guido Fawkes so I'm just going to ignore them as they're dumb

Diane Abbott's portrait: the fact that some black people have some money does not alter the fact of persisting institutional racism

Chuka Umunna and executives: less ridiculous than you make it sound, though I'm not a supporter of quota systems myself, the correct way to amend this is through more expenditure on education

The 'open-door' policy: is this not your wildly incorrect claim about uncontrolled immigration again?

Discontinuation of Royal Yacht Britannia: I don't see why this is a bad thing?

I'm surprised you failed to mention the gold sale, which is probably the single biggest blunder the Labour govt made during that time (but is matched by the Royal Mail sale).

I'd support punishing people who actively avoid work. That said, based on the current system, people are applying for jobs that don't exist or the cost of commuting cancels your wages. If we had a better connected system so Unemployed person A had 3 feasible job trials and avoids them and we know it, I'd support fining them/punishing them. For now the state isn't active enough to do that.

Try this one: https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/pro...editusergroups. You just need to select "Join Group" next to the Labour Party usergroup then click the big orange button.

I'm not normally someone to come out and say this, but JTran has been awesome in the Labour sub so far, one of the most exciting newbies in a long time.
