I was taking in consideration that I would perform at 90% average this year so therefore
I would only need 80% average next year for an A* overall.

^ Assuming that's how the system works.
that's not how it works at all.
2. Prize Giving tomorrow and I'm missing all the morning lessons due to rehearsals

Nah, what you score at AS has very little impact on your chances of an A*.

To score the A*, you need at least 80% over the full A-Level AND at least 90% over the A2.

i take it this was meant for me i'm doing complex numbers (modulus and principle argument ) at the minute :/ i'm not the greatest of fans i might quote you this weekend if i get stuck with some work ;D
Yeah forgot to quote. AQA doesn't go into much detail on complex numbers though. All we have left is conics, trigonometry and linear laws but we have a lot of M2 to do. I got 42/54 on the FP1 test, 12/14 on the one M2 question so that went well, D1 hasn't been marked yet but that was a full paper. Hope I got around 70/75

Maths help pls

and
Show that where k and a are constants to be found.

Hence explain why the graph of approaches a straight line when x is large, and write down the equation of this straight line.

edit: here are the expansions btw

Your expansions aren't quite correct. Try expanding them again and then do long division (or set them equal and equate coefficients).

Haha we've got a while of FP1 to do, close to finishing D1, we've just finished critical path analysis :-)

Fair enough, D1 is easy you just have to remember to do every single step to get the marks

Hey guys, did everyone here have their parents evening yet?

I have mine Mid-January.

^ I'l probz get. History: A/A*. Physics: A. French: B. Maths: C.
I have got my current grades Further Maths:A* Physics:A* Maths:A Geography:B and they were based on my performance across the year so far in tests, homeworks and stuff but my current grades will be reset based on how I do on the mock solely. My Geography Teacher said that all of our hard work we have done so far will count for nothing if our mock result is bad.

I am slightly worried because my Physics Teacher said that if you don't get your target grade you will have to come back for extra lessons and I'm not worried about this for Physics but She implied that other subjects would operate the same in her department and I am a grade below my target grade in Geography.Although, I'm not really doing that bad its just He marks it all to A-80% B-70% C-60% D-50% E-40% but the AQA grade boundaries are a lot lower and I have a feeling He will mark the mock in the same way.Anyone else do AQA Geography I got 76/105 for the first half term and this half term 79/109 which should be more than B under real grade boundaries.
