A lot of university exams are multiple choice

But they're quite hard and not the conventional sort of multiple choice you think of. It's more like... 1 mark for a correct answer, 0 for blank and -1 for wrong :p:

Damn, there goes my plan of educated guessing.

People seem to be getting offers from Sheffield [Ok, so it's only one person], but it's stressing me out!

Arg seems like all the Imperial physicists have interviews already.

Not like I can go to an interview, but it would be nice for my peace of mind to be invited. Maybe they don't even try and interview overseas applicants...

I got an offer from Warwick but from what I've heard, they generally give offers after January so I'd just wait. They probably don't send acknowledgement emails.

I've only seen offers for computing related degrees i.e. computer science and discrete mathematics.
I don't like the fact that you've applied for the same course as me and have heard from both Warwick and Imperial and applied only a couple days before me =/..

That seems like a ridiculous policy, I don't really understand the IB but how are you meant to know if your choices are realistic? Seems mean of you teacher to say it wasn't great and not tell you what it was too!
YES it is. We had this MID-ASSESSMENT predicted grade go out during the summer, and that was very high - hence my counsellor and I were saying that my choices were realistic. But after I pressed "pay and send" he got my 'current' predicted grades and told me they had dropped.. The teachers apparently predict lowly in my school so they don't look bad if the students get lower than they predicted.

My school is basically messed up, stripping me of my chances..

    I'll see what happens though.

Has any one taking Physics got an offer from either Imperial or Warwick yet, or does any one know when about the offers will come.

I also had an ackowledgment from Warwick - clearly they're getting their act together. I'm guessing all of them say the same?

The University of Warwick is committed to fair admissions and will give full and equal consideration to all applications received by the UCAS deadline of 15th January 2009. As such, a small number of decisions may not be finalised until all applications have been received. Soon after this date we will let any applicants awaiting a decision know when they can expect a reply.
Clearly preparing us for a long wait
