I've already given her those things in the past (minus the holiday) :teehee:

And holiday would be over the top, wouldn't it?

    Girls :p: bah.
If someone got me a violin I'd be well pissed off because i have a perfectly nice one, and that my gift to them would be inadequate

and no a holiday would not be over the top. tell her shes getting whisked awy to an awesome hotel up north for the weekend for some awesome loving, and then hit her with some gold at dinner table

I'm just describing my perfect present now here

Stick around for the binary solo. :teehee:
    Err... 1, 3, 6?

    Do glasses symbolise a female-robot?

Acoustic as in the normal, commonly used violin? :teehee:

I don't know anything on this subject. :sigh:

I think she would love a new violin but can't get one without explicitly asking her which would be awful :facepalm2:
Here's some advice about violins (and music instruments in general). They are very expensive (that is, above £100) if you want to get anything that's decent. You can get practice/scaled models cheaply but that won't be much better than what she has now already anyway, if not worse. Also you should get the person who plays the instrument to try it out before buying it, because that model might not suit the person at all.

2 years is really quite a bit shorter than the lifespan of an average instrument. The best violins in the world are still being played today after being made hundreds of years ago (e.g. the Stradivari) and even a common amateur's violin can last 5-10 years.

@Ape - Actually, classy meal might be good... If you're willing to spend the money, take the Eurostar to Paris, spend a night at the Ritz Paris, and be as sickeningly romantic (or otherwise!) as you wish. Other option is the Savoy, but I believe that's still closed for refurbishment.

Today was my last day. I had to go in at 11 today because all the house officials had to go up to the front of the church and read out a part from the bible in front of all the other years. :sigh:

Now, I can relax, look forward to getting Curb Your Enthusiasm complete box set and various other little presents on Christmas. Just asked for money this year, nothing big I need or want.

What have you asked for Christmas?

    UCAS sent.

    Perfect.

Sounds great. And it melds well with her having done AH French and family origins.

Paris during New Years Eve/Day will be beautiful :moon:

    Ritz? http://www.ritzparis.com/home_ritz/home.asp?id_lang=2

This will be great. Paris, hotel, classy restaurant...

    Thanks, man. :yy:
Now you wait for the offers. :afraid: You'll become addicted to track.

How much money have you got?

Or were you joking about that hotel?

I have a fair bit saved up, but enough for a place like that.

    Though go for it. :gthumb:
