Pretty much all important news stories should be communicated to Americans through Hollywood. :p:

Also, some more cool posters: http://tommygood.com/. Love the Die Hard one.

Awesome. Although casting familiar actors/actors from films in filmography is typical Nolan. A bit like Tarantino.

Haha, that Indiana Jones thing is great! Going to steal it and post it on Facebook Also those posters are ace, especially love the Apocalypse Now one, it's seriously cool.

On a pretty unrelated note, does anyone else here have an interest in Russian cinema? I do, but haven't seen a huge amount (which I know is pretty cringeworthy considering my degree, but the only cinema modules offered are in final year ) - seen several Eisenstein films, some Tarkovsky and a few other 'classics' but that's it really. It's coming to the time where I have to think about my dissertation question, and I'm considering doing something related to film - as I seem to be much better at writing about films/culture than anything else - but I'm not sure quite what! Does anyone have any Russian film/director recommendations for me? Or can anyone think of a related theme which would be good to explore? I'd be extremely grateful for any input

I've only just found out that H.P. Lovecraft's very atmospheric fantasy-horror story At The Mountains of Madness is close to being made, with Del Toro directing and Cameron producing. It may turn out to be a disaster, I accept, but in the meantime I'll be excited. It was very well done on BBC Radio 7 recently.

"...I could not help feeling that they were evil things-- mountains of madness whose farther slopes looked out over some accursed ultimate abyss. That seething, half-luminous cloud-background held ineffable suggestions of a vague, ethereal beyondness far more than terrestrially spatial; and gave appalling reminders of the utter remoteness, separateness, desolation, and aeon-long death of this untrodden and unfathomed austral world."

Also excited for this, and have been for a few months. Especially with Del Toro at the helm. At The Mountains of Madness is one of my favourite childhood books.

One of the best fan films for one of the best games of all time. For those who are, stupidly, not acquainted with the Half Life series (:p:), then the film takes place directly after HL2 and in between HL2 Episode 1 and is from the perspective of two rebel fighters trying to escape from the Combine. Not from the perspective of Gordon Freeman.

Why is it taking so long? :p: Also, I can't go on Steam. I'm back at uni and it's blocked here. I'll probably be home this weekend, again, as my next door neighbour is having a retirement party, so I'll add you then. :awesome:
