Great credit card details may have been stolen. Brilliant **** up here
It's not a **** up, it's a security breach. They've done a pretty damn good job of protecting their systems up until now. Took years to jailbreak the PS3, and even then they come straight out with fixes for it.

They were pretty sure that credit card details almost definitely haven't been stolen. But it remains conceivable that they have been.

I'm now wondering if I made a mistake using my debit card rather than a PSN card to purchase stuff from the store. I really hope the person(s) who got all that data are discovered and we get our justice.

Anyone notice that PSN is apparently active at the top of that blog?

Yep. Mo found this out but didn't bother to tell anyone until I found out.... not active for us though.

As for Minecraft, I'm not sure what the point of the game is other than building an epicly awesome house.

The exact quote is "While there is no evidence that credit card data was taken at this time, we cannot rule out the possibility" - so, we can't really say either way.

Good thing I always remove my details after I purchase something off of PSN - Doubt i'd buy anything from there again with my card.. Should've used Prepaid cards from the start.

I know it's a bit late for this instance, but is there a way of removing my card details from PSN while the network is down?

 The damage has been done now, however bad it turns out to be.

I never gave them my credit card details and always used those prepaid PSN cards.

While I'm annoyed that I can't use my PSN credit, I'm massively relieved that things can't get worse (for me, at least).

For a while it kept going on and off every few hours and each time it came back on I would check!
