Angela Eagle warned by her CLP that her constituency backs Corbyn and ask that she issues a message of support for him.

Hardly an issue unless Corbyn stays in until 2020, the other thing is what of the surrounding constituencies given boundary changes could protect her either way

The fake outrage is really grating on me.

Also what is Angela Eagle waiting for? Just get it over with, the longer this drags on the worse it gets, and we all know Jezza ain't going to quit.
I hear she ended up not announcing as Owen Smith also now has enough MPs to run and said he would announce if she did, meaning she would no longer be the 'unity' candidate, ruining her platform

"Final Tory leadership options. Two Scots, one Welshman, two council house kids and two out of the five are women. No one who went to Eton.

All without an all-anything shortlist in sight."

Not quite right, Crabb is Scottish, not Welsh.

Still, shameful she's prepared to ignore her own voters

You don't think CLP represents the people who voted Labour in her area?

I don't think local parties particularly well represent those that voted for that party, let alone the entire electorate, in the constituency.

Her CLP could deselect her anyway (even if she was leader I imagine)

    I think because of Gove
Only found out when i came home about twenty minutes ago. Gove's attack was the metaphorical torpedo into the bow of his ship. Crippling.

I don't know which is worse.
As a Lib Dem i imagine your hopes would have been with Boris, Osbourne or Hunt with the later two especially being pretty liberal on social issues.

    (Original post by tengentoppa)
I feel as though Gove would prioritise immigration control over single market access, whereas May would fudge it and essentially accept free movement with a few provisos for benefit claimants.
May is more a closet skeptic who stayed loyal i think so i don't expect their positions to be that much different. Crabb is the real softy on the EU.

Boundary changes could save her unless all the constituencies around here are insistent on losing elections

No, Crabb is Welsh. Born in Scotland but very much Welsh.

On another Labour leadership election, I will probably...
    Vote for Corbyn: 50%
    Not vote for Corbyn: 47%
(via YouGov, Lab members / 27-30/06)

    Corbyn may well be gone

And the membership want him gone

    Jeremy Corbyn should...
Lead Labour into the next GE: 41%
Step down before the next GE: 10%
    Step down now: 44%
    (via YouGov, Lab members)

I wish Corbyn would just step down. He hasn't got a chance of staying leader so he should just do the honourable thing.

It's delicious stuff (especially if the rumours that he sabotaged Boris' telegraph article are true). Boris has been made the Zoe Barnes to Gove's Frank Underwood. Well and truly Pump 'n Dumped.

I wish Laws would be less vague. He said that Cameron is a small 'c' Conservative and Gove is a radical however he failed to assert in what way. Is he radical in the right wing sense, the liberal sense ect..

Mogg backing Gove as done Morgan.

On how well/badly (X) did during the #EUref campaign:
    J. Corbyn: 47 / 52
    A. Johnson: 52 / 30
    G. Brown: 68 / 20
    (via YouGov, Lab members)

Brown is interesting given the only real intervention of his I heard effectively said "ignore me and all the experts and politicians"
