Read the report. They're just regurgitating what has been said alreasy.

News media always without fail report rumours.
Sorry, but it's a very clear statement 'Athletico have announced'. There are quotes. So I take it all you ever read is arsenal.com. Well they're not going to put 'Perez failed to get a wp' on there.

SSN were one of the first major outlets to report it. You suggesting they google 'Sebastian Perez' and see what some amateurs are posting and then follow...

Do you really only have 17 players the start of this season?

    dat good ****
Something like that, 17 or 18. Even if we add a few, we'll still be short.

    Yes.

well sign as we haven't got bodies. The question is will the signings be of the quality we need or will they be signings with potential at £10m a pop

24, and that's not including youth players who will inevitably play in cup games ie. zelalem, gnabry, etc.

It's not a given we'll buy players. But I think it's more likely we will but they'll be players just to add numbers. So in essence, we've got rid of deadwood only to replace them with the same. Guarantee some of the signings we make will be left to rot away like Santos and Squillaci were.

Arsenal have lost ambition. We're a team in reverse and those in charge are just letting it happen.

Are you sure that many? The quality must be pretty low then.

Itll all depend on wengers thinking. If he's been planning to remove dead wood and has heavily scouted potential incomings then hopefully the majority will turn good. After the 8-2 santos was a panic buy tbf.

Im gonna judge him at the end of the transfer window - if doesnt spend, he's asking for criticism. He needs to get off his high horse saying that arsenal only want the very best. Out current squad is not exactly elite.

Hes got 80m and probably around £450,000 on the wage budget. No one knows what he's thinking.

Michu will not go to Arsenal for a number of reasons imo:

His price will be very inflated after last season and will cost over £25m. He has only recently signed a contract extension and there is absolutely no reason for the club to sell for cheap, just like Ashley Williams. I'm unsure it's the world class player Arsenal needs, and i don't think Wenger will see value in the ultimate transfer fee.

Will be interesting to see who Wenger goes for as options are very scarce. 2011 all over again? Need to sort out the Gustavo deal asap.
You think Michu's contract doesn't include a Suarez-esque release clause............

Why can't we get the players who have hinted that they want to join us? Players like Ashley Williams, Gustavo and Suarez. They'd be perfect

Yes that's more or lees what they've done because it is all over the internet. SSN weren't the one to break the story and Atletico didn't announce. They're just circulating the quote Nacional's director gave to a colombian sport website. Phrase for phrase. Many other blogspere have already reported this, before sky did. So, they're always just spreading the story that the blogsphere had alreasy done. What makes them much more credible when they're doing the same thing? Sky have cleverly spinned their use of this quote into 'Atletico announced' to fool people like you that they've made an official statement- whereas it's all from an article from a website (which even they admitted to).

Like I said, the reason why we're not signing him (if we truely aren't) isn't because of the work permit issue. Why's this hard to understand?

21, taking Park away. What should it be at? I'm assuming something like 27, 28.

Man City have 25. But they're almost all of first team quality. Chelsea have 27. United have 31.
