As I said, I was the only person there for about an hour so it's not that unreasonable. Last sunday it was so dead they didn't even take £50 and closed at 2215
Well, you might've been - but the barman is being paid for the hours he closed early anyway, and he could've got an extra £20 off you maybe...

Nah, at £2.50 a pint they wouldn't have. I have polo in the morning and was at the slow drinking phase so would only have had 2 or 3 extra

Ahaha, fair enough! Well, if I'd been there, they would've lost a lot

And even if I weren't at the slow drinking phase of the night, I had my paper with me which obviously really slows you down.

You can enjoy them and drink fast It's called being a man

Anyway, as you're the only one here, I think I'm gonna close up for the night!

Well, either earlier or the other day you said you were 24/7
I did also earlier see my first half pint (somebody else bought it), although I might have seen others get them but ignore it. Bloody women.

Haha

Half-pint - that's definitely 'bloody women' as you put it...
In any case, I gotta get offline unfortunately - take care!

BT Sport's commentary team for tomorrow's FA Cup Final will be...[drum roll]...

Darren Fletcher, Michael Owen & Robbie Savage! :lolwut:

with a guest punditry appearance from the one and only Andy Townsend.

I think I might be watching on the BBC.

Only 9 am and I'm already having a ****ty day, and while we all know that the answer to all of life's problems is alcohol, none of the real bars nearby are open

That's what Tesco is for... grab a couple bottles, head home, watch Criminal Minds and take a shot every time they make some ridiculous leap in logic, and you'll have forgotten your problems in no time!

That implies I don't already have copious amounts of alcohol on my room
So much so that last time I went home my grandmother said she was disgusted by it, even though I haven't been sent home from work for being completely wasted yet (and she was a care worker when it happened to)

At least I've just seen that both my MPs are expected to vote in favour of repealing the hunting act, not that it's any surprise, and that it may be closer than I expected.

Because I don't feel like crap wine, nice wine, port, or obscenely strong rum. I fancy a cold pint
