Why is everyone so desperate to get married so early in life?
To be honest I wanna see the world and not be tied down by a relationship for a while. We've got our whole lives to find someone, what if that someone isn't your first school bf/gf :curious:
being married doesn't mean you have to be tied down. That's why you have to be sure you get married to the right person, who will allow you to still have your freedom as an individual.

As soon as I feel tied down in a relationship, I leave.

And hoepfully, If ii get married young, I'll still will be able to have fun. I can just get my partner involved with the fun

And to answer the question about women dating older guys.

My answer is that I feel more secure and relate to older guys more.

How old are you? Both 20

Do you consider the relationship to be 'serious'? Of course

Do you see yourself staying with your partner forever, having a family etc? In some ways I can, in others I can't. Me wanting to travel the world and him wanting a secure job in the UK may not help.

We've been together around 2 years.
    I'm 24, he's 25.
To the extent that any relationship is serious, yes?
We get on well and I think we would be good together long term. But I am probably moving away for grad school in 2011 or 2012, and neither of us want a long distance relationship, so reality suggests that we will not stay together. Who knows if we'll get back together later in life. Time will tell. I don't want to think about marriage/kids until I'm at least 30, anywho, so anything could happen.

I always wonder whether in relationships with big age gaps, don't you find that you are both at different stages in life, and doesn't that sometimes alienate you both from each other?
Apart from him being a university professor and me being a university student no, we're on the same wavelength. I moved out before he did, it's not like he's been living it up for years or anything.

    I'm 20, he's 23.
Er, yes, I suppose it is quite serious- we've discussed moving in together, marriage, kids etc. That said, we're each other's first love and we have our problems... not least of which is that I'm terrified of us either breaking up or becoming completely co-dependent.

    Q1: 6 months
    Q2: 17
Q3: Insofar as I wouldn't cheat as soon as someone else hotter came along, or ditch her over a minor argument. Too much to happen in my life (uni, new people) and too young for me to be able to say properly.
    Q4: See Q 3.

We've been together for a year and four months, and I'm nearly twenty-one and he's nineteen. Yup, we're pretty serious - we were living in different countries for nine months after we got together, so I must've been worth waiting for! :p: We've discussed the future, yes, although not in a serious, definite way as he's on a very demanding degree and there's so many things I'd still like to accomplish before I settle down completely; although it is comforting knowing this could be forever.
