Motorcycle Emptiness - Manic Street Preachers
    Here - Pavement
Velvet - The Big Pink (For some reason I love slower songs with stupid amounts of feedback in this situation...)
Most of Death Cab For Cutie's songs...

Also this, by a band called I Am Not Lefthanded:

Elgar's Cello Concerto, played by du Pre. This is a short clip of the first movement, which is arguably the best bit, especially the end

And this just so I can revel in its awesomeness: Kodaly's Cello Sonata. This is the final movement:

(I recommend people listen to this even if they're not fans of 'classical music': it's AMAZING :ahee:) Jakob Koranyi also plays it well

    also
Scarborough Fair- Simon and Garfunkel. To concentrate on the 'canticle' lyrics: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bwldn3ET53E

The Only Living Boy in New York- Simon and Garfunkel: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJGSHMgbB0E

Something I've mentioned on another thread: Sound of Silence as this years Christmas No. 1 (since people are still trying to stop the X Factor like last year)? Wouldn't that be good?
