It's just appeared on the AP wires and the BBC live coverage. People who spilled over from the "protest" attacked their car as it went down Regent Street. No harm done to them, apparently.

Looks like the mob is spilling over.
1-Who cares about them? 2-Do they care about us?
    1-No one.
    2-No.

Maybe they'll act against these stupid Politicians then.

I would much rather the Royal Family in charge than some house of commons bigots anyway.

Harry is a right laugh and would be great as a proper leader for this country, even Prince William.
Leader? :confused:Countries don't need leaders, the leaders of a country are the very people who live there. Leave the masochist ideas for later, please.

Trip to reality for the royals

they're just people born into priviledge.

    not worse than anyone else

im not supporting the students, im just wondering why its any worse than if it were ordinary people? royals do not deserve special treatment, they're just ordinary people

It's important - a group of protestors overwhelmed the Police Escort. That sort of thing is not supposed to happen.

As for disliking them - you might not, but they're still people. Nobody deserves to be attacked just for being born into the 'wrong' kind of family, be it very poor, or very rich.
They got attacked by being born in that kind of family.
I got my loans risen by being born in that kind of family.
We got beaten. They too. Simple. Life is hard I know.

The point isn't that the attack was minor, it was that it could happen at all. Royal security is supposed to be better.
One day I would get some TSR users and we will beat almost to death all members of the Royal family except the Queen.
Some users who depend on masochism neg me. It feels good.

    hate them both.

Wouldn't be surprised if the police escort let the students attack them on purpose. Just for lols at camilla getting floored.
Rich people need to feel fear too. Like us.

Agree with first poster - Royals should have more power. Well, Her Majesty should, anyway.
No problem, let's go backwards. Let's destroy everything elderly British people fought for. They will die soon, who care about what they can think about it? Let's take the monarchy back and cut people's rights. I love your idea, milord.

I enjoyed Boris Johnson's comment about the attack being an insult to democracy, seems a touch ironic when discussing the royals, no?
Democracy? With monarchy? wtf? Monarchy by itself erases great part of the meaning of democracy. It's like trying to make fire in the middle of the ocean in water surface.

Leader? :confused:Countries don't need leaders, the leaders of a country are the very people who live there. Leave the masochist ideas for later, please.
    Are they?

That's funny because I think the majority of the current UK population are under the illusion that we are under the leadership of Cameron & Clegg. Or those 2 seem to think that its only their opinions that matter.

The UK is not a full democracy and we as the people of the UK never vote on all the main issues. We also hardly ever get listened to on the majority of topics.

They fought for the country (if it was ruled by a King okay, but that was something out of their reach). The King likes being King for the power and nothing else, otherwise he would be begging to be taken his position as soon as possible. Why would someone fight for someone who would not fight for you had the King the chance?

It hardly can be a democracy with a monarchy...Anyway, is well-known that politicians are fat rats eating money from poor people and that democracy has not yet reached its advanced mode. For the sushi or 2C (Cameron and Clegg) are two dirty rats who will die as two dirty rats.

Although poorly phrased, I think I managed to get the gist of that. How do you know the King would not fight? Certainly in WW2 Churchill had to stop the King going over to Normandy on D-Day.

To those who say that Royals are no better than others are, although correct, a little disillusioned. It is indisputable that if everyone behaved like Her Majesty -perhaps not Harry and other lesser royals, but I don't value them much - then the country would be a far better place. Some people who are rougher and vulgar do not take into consideration other people, and basing someone on their honesty, selflessness - all the things that make people 'good' - you would have to agree that by and large the Royals are better people. I find brash people offensive and they make my day worse for being so. If people were more refined then public places would be far nicer.

They serve a social purpose more than anything.

I personally feel nothing but anger at the anarchists causing the damage and violence - they are tarring all the peaceful protesters with the same brush and giving students a bad name.

Plus, it's the tax payers money that will be used to repair the damage - money I'm paying now in my gap year, when I'm trying to save for my future loan.

As for Charles and Camilla - don't care about them personally. What I care about is not that rioters attacked -GASP!- a royal car with the royals in it - just disgust at A) the attack on a car containing a couple in their sixties, and B) yet another lack of security.

When I mean that the King would not dare to fight I mean he would not physically (and risking his life for his beloved country) fight.
I think that social purpose is not essential (except the Queen) and we could get rid of them without consequences. All about royalty could be kept with the Queen.

I agree to an extent. If I was the King I'd make sure there wasn't a royal 'family' and I was the only royal.

I think we always have a need/place for a monarch, but no necessarily all the family.

Technically, he would have been in danger. It also might be appropriate to mention Prince Harry in Afghanistan.
