We start at 9am then have a 15 minute break at 11am. Then dinner is at 1pm for 45 minutes. Then it goes on till 3.30pm.

I get the bus so I'm generally either bang on time or a wee bit late!
Secondary School was 9.05-3.30...

im technically in from about 8 to half 3, but most of the time we have after school lessons and i volunteer in the SEN department once a week, and at age concern once a week, so i'm usually in from 8 till 5 ish on most days, plus, i cant go home when my lessons arent on, i have to be in all the time  but i dont mind, i enjoy school HAH
At my secondary school we were in from 8.35am 'til 3pm with a 40 minutes lunch and a 20 minute break. At college I'm now in from 9:15am 'til 4:30pm (timetable dependant) with an hour lunch and quite a few breaks throughout the day.

A school down the road from my college teaches from 8.30ish 'til 2pm, which I find to be very strange. They have a ridiculously short lunchtime (20 minutes per year group) and all of their breaks are in doors, which saves time getting everyone back inside. It's a new Academy and I think they just want to shake things up.

The school 'starts' at 8:30, but we have to be in for 8:45. I'm usually there for 8:10 though...

We have seven 45 minute lessons in a day, with one 15 minute break and a 30 minute lunch. Then we leave at 3:00.

I'm always tired after a term

I was on the bus yesterday at 2.55pm and was amazed to see loads of school kids on it. Apparently they start school at 8.45am and finished at 2.45pm.

I was flabbergasted because I started school at 8.25am and finished at 4.00pm. That means that every day, I had an extra 1hr35mins of school. That's 7hrs55mins. With 36 weeks in a school year, that's an extra 285hrs a year, or the equivalent to 47.5 shorter school days. That's 9.5 weeks extra, a year. That means in 5 years, I had the equivalent to a whole school year, plus 1 extra term of schooling. :s-smilie:

So when did you start and finish school?

my school starts at 8.45 and ends at 3.35 - i normally get to school at 8.25 and leave around 3.40

although we do have a really long lunch time - from 1.00 to 2.30

Mine was about 8:40am to 4pm Monday - Wednesday, 8:40am to 3:20pm Thurs/Friday.

In reality, I was often there well after 5pm due to extra curricular commitments.
8.55-3.15.
I get to go home early on Tuesdays though.
Well I've been to 6 secondary schools and they've all varied slightly.

School 1: 8:50 start, with 20 min break and 45 min lunch and end 3:30.
School 2: 8:40 start, 15 min break and an hour for lunch and end at 3:15-ish,
School 3: 9:30 start, 15 min break, 40 min lunch and 3:30 finish- although when you were in Year 10/11/12/13 you had to stay til 5 apart from Wednesdays.
School 4: 8:50 til 3:20 except Wednesdays which ended at 2:30 - break 15 mins, lunch 50.
School 5: 8:40 start. 15 mins break and 3:10 finish.
School 6 (Bearing in mind it's a boarding school, so things are all a bit different) 8:50 lessons start (but there's breakfast at 8 and chapel at 8:35), with 20 mins break and 1 hour (on Thursdays an hour and a half) lunch, lessons end at 3:35 (on Wednesdays 12:35) but games/activities begin at 4 for an hour (or 2 if it's a Wednesday) and then it's dinner at 6:30 followed by prep at 7 until 9. So you could say 9, was our official cut off for the day. But there's always something else that takes you until about 10 or 11ish. Yes...it's rather annoying. Plus we have to do this saturdays as well! :frown:

Start 8.40 end 2.40
To ****ing early.
And to ****ing late.
I start at 8:45 in theory, i get there at 9:00 and finish at 3:40pm. Longest day, get used to it though, although you'd think you learn more because lessons are longer it doesnt help when all your teachers are incompetent at their job!
