My mum still loves my dad, but she's not in love with him. My dad might still love her but I'm not sure if he is capable of loving or caring about anyone apart from himself. They are divorced, thankfully.

    I'm not too sure :dontknow:

My parents have been married for 26 years and they seem pretty alright at the moment. Maybe it's because they're both old and have nowhere else to go

Well they're still together after 30 years of marriage. They still share interests, do lots together and stuff, so I think so. :dontknow:

Well, it's not like I've ever asked them.

They seem happy together, but maybe more of a comfortable-love that I imagine (and hope) comes from spending the majority of their lives together rather than a passionate-love.
    This is exactly me.

I think they do - they've been married for 26 years now I think. I want to have what they have, it depresses me slightly that I really don't think I'll find it.

my parents are divorced. Just a wild guess, but I would say no, they aren't in love - unless that is a new way of showing how much you love your (ex)partner

no my parents are definitely not in love with one another.

My dad left us in January 1990. He is now married to another woman, and my mam has a boyfriend in Turkey.

Well, they separated in 2005, but still get on well, still go out for meals together on each other's birthdays, my dad still goes to all events among my mum's family. In fact, they get on a lot better now that they live separately and see each other ~once a month than they ever did when they were married. They have never got round to getting a divorce or new partners though.
I believe they care about each other, but love, no. They are certainly not in love, anyway.

No. They separated in 2007. Apparently they hadn't been in love since 2002ish but they stayed together cus my sister was so young.

In my opinion that's the wrong thing to do. We both believed that was how a real marriage functioned, no child should grow up thinking that.

No, they still care for each other but my mum has problems which completely tore the family apart beyond repair.

I do sometimes still get really depressed about it and think what's the point of marriage and 'forever' but then I see my boyfriend and best friend's parents and realise true love does exist - and can last.

My parents are the same as this. They love each other, but I wouldn't necessarily say they're in love, but they are content with each other and I doubt they'd have it any other way. They do argue though, but usually when one has had too much to drink (they're quite big drinkers) and it all gets forgotten in the morning. My dad especially is very reliant on my mum, so I think he'd be gutted if she left him. My mom is the more independant of the two by far!!
