So you can still write well with your left arm now? Do you ever still do it and is it helpful?
I'm thinking of learning to do it too. I'm sure it could be useful in some situations, like when my right hand hurts from writing too much in an exam.

I did it, and sometimes use it; for example, taking down notes in English whilst trying to stay awake.
I learnt by trying to learn how to draw a bit, and then writing out random **** loads. But it's not worth it until you really good, which does take up huge amounts of time. Just make sure you have nothing better to do. I probably didn't.

a friend of mine had his right hand and arm broken at the same time, so he was forced to write with his left hand. by the time he got the cast off, he wrote better with his left hand than his right hand.
moral of the story: as with most things in life, practice, practice, practice.
