Am I the only one who noticed "you can be woman and still be accepted"?

dk how i found this but exactly, saw your pic and you seem to be getting by fine.
Thanks buddy, yeah I am getting along fine. It is easier for me though because I have the rather unfair combination of both attractiveness and talent, but don't let that get you down because as I said, plenty of people like yourself (I assume) do well too.

ps. why did you bring up a year old thread only to quote me? Are you stalking me? Do you fancy me or something?

You can be gay and still be accepted.
You can be female and still be accepted.
You can be an ethnic minority and still be accepted.
You can be short and still be accepted.
You can be religious and still be accepted.
You can be dark-haired and still be accepted.

    You can ugly...

Oh wait a minute. No you can't.

Being ugly is, according to society, the worst trait there is. No, nothing can ever redeem ugliness. Even the oppressed oppress ugly people.

If you are ugly, you are destined to be discriminated and have a disappointing life.

Why? Because even people of different races, different hair colours, religious or not religious, different heights, and not heterosexual can still be in relationships.

    Ugly people? No they cannot.

(Ugly people being with ugly people does not count. Ugly people secretly wish they could be with a better partner, but they can't as they're ugly).
You do realise you're also discriminating against 'ugly people' by calling them 'ugly'. In my opinion there's no such thing as an 'ugly' person. Just because a person doesn't get that much attention from the opposite sex it doesn't mean that they are 'ugly'. Beauty really is in eye of the beholder, I mean look at how societies perception of beauty has changed over the years. Before chubby women were deemed to be more attractive as it supposedly indicated wealth, but now thinner women are deemed to be more attractive. Pale skin was also attractive as it indicated a luxurious lifestyle where working outside was not necessary, but now slightly tanned skin is seen as objectively attractive.

I once had an ugly friend who broke up with me because, being attractive, I made her feel bad--her words exactly.

There are too many variables to come to the conclusion that someone is ugly. You may think they are, someone else may not.If many people do,still not everyone will. And no,so called ugly people in society are not treated worse than those who are gay/black/white/Indian/etc....anyone can be treated horribly, you just need to find the nearest narrow minded idiot to call them out on that. I myself feel ugly and it get's me down sometimes, but I am not going to moan about it to anyone that will listen.I am not going to let it rule my life,as really it shouldn't. I'm not going to spout things about how everyone is beautiful as you OP,most likely will disregard that. But really,we are all human, and trying to make sense of this world we live in,the people we share it with, and undoubtedly you will encounter a horrible person or two.But so what? Someone showed me this video(on here actually) and I think itis fitting to post here. What he says about when you are in a situation that really matters,i.e in hospital, you are not worrying about how fat you are,how ugly your eyes are etc..you instantly get reminded of the most important basic elements in your life, survival and those close to you.

Yes perhaps in terms of dating/romance etc..looks will matter, that is human nature and not to be denied, but again the variables are too numerous to really quantify, and many factors play a part.

I am very very ugly and I believe what you are saying. Every one hates ugly people and you cant have a friend and never dream to have a gf/bf because it is impossible but only if some one is very very ugly.
Average ugly guy may get friends or a partner but very very ugly guy will never get.
on a scale of 1 to Sick C*nt how crazy are you?

I am not crazy and I have a good personality but I know I am ugly. I mean in my 19 years life not even a single girl have spoke to me. I mean not a single word with a girl who is my age (+ or - 5) not including my relatives.
I mean I am not depressed about it or anything or am I sad because of it. I mean some people are short and ugly but there are still places in this world that practices arrange marriages so I can go get a beautiful loving wife from those places. I mean I need a good job that pays a decent amount of money to do that so I am trying to study and get a good job.
I mean even though a girl have never said a single word to me, I am only 19 years old. I mean I can get a good job and get an arrange marriage and have my first word with a girl who is my wife.

best thread i have seen on tsr.

racism, hate towards a colour, skin is equal to hating people for their 'looks'

the invisible 'apartheid' we have today, elevating some 'good looking people' as above 'inferior ugly' people is pathetic.

the same as racism in my eyes, in it's most basic principle

again. this is the best thread i have ever seen on tsr.

imagine someone calling you ugly ? imagine that. condemning you to a lovless life, saying they look down at your physical existance

how the hell is that not the same as saying ' i hate you because of the colour of your skin' ?

YOLO crew. you can quote me, in your large numbers, and say 'it isn't the same you are a fool'.

edit: i would not match it up to disliking homosexuals. your looks and race are predetermined.

your sexuality isn't.(though i believe it should abide by natural law. my belief! no offence to anyone)

so calling someone ugly is the same as being racist, but no where near the same as being 'homophobic'.

isaac newton was ridiculed for his theories, by society who said ' we can't accept your nonsense'every single genuius, freedom fighter, someone who brought out BLUNT truth has been opposed by the unaware masses.OP has just made an amazing point in his post.an ugly woman, i will say it again. an "ugly" woman , will find it harder to be accepted BECAUSE of her physical looks.this is the same as racism! denying someone a position, friendship, equal level because of their looks.calling someone ugly, and being a racist, are one and the same for me. i think calling someone ugly is much worse tbh. racism can be blind - as wierd as it sounds. you hate them i.e their whole race. it is not focused on one person. but calling someone ugly, you target huge hate to one person for what is in essence, their very core physical being.OP is 'bitter'. i would be too. this system is flawed as hellTO ALL THOSE WHO HAVE EVER BEEN CALLED UGLY

Not having a gf and never having a single word with a girl is two different thing. I mean have you speak to a girl even once, I mean even a single word is OK. I mean if you haven't had a single word with a girl and if the girls looks away from you the moment they see you than you must be very very ugly too like me otherwise you are not very very ugly.

Uh you can start the conversation? You are not seriously waiting for a girl to speak to you?

If you want something, you should strive for it, not wait for it. Because you won't get it if you don't actively try to do it.

And I sometimes fall for the same trap too. I wait and wait and wait for something good to happen - and guess what, 99/100 times it won't just come to you. Take some time and put a little effort towards what you want.

Girls starts conversations with tall handsome guys all the time so why shouldn't I wait for a girl to speak to me first. I mean just because I am ugly doesn't mean my personality is not good and if girls claims that they care about personality than they should start conversation with me like the way they do it with tall handsome guys.
I mean I am not a talkative guy and I dont want to struggle to have my first word with a girl.
I mean every time a girl see me, they look away from me so it means I am ugly and I shouldn't talk to them before they do it first.
I mean every time I see a girl, I try to smile but most of the time they look away from me before I give my smile and those times I am successful with the smile, they never smile back but just look away as quickly as possible. So it kinda means that I should not talk to them first right.
But arrange marriage is totally different because a handsome guy or an ugly guy is equal in an arrange marriage (almost equal). And arrange marriage is based on personality so it sounds good. I mean I am only 19 years. Just have to study and get a good job and go get a beautiful loving wife through arrange marriage and have my first word with her.
I mean there is a hint right. If a 19 year old haven't had a single word with a girl than there is nothing better than arrange marriage for him.

Thing that worries me is that I tend to find all females kinda ugly when they don't have their makeup on as everytime their out, at work, in magazines or on telly they have makeup on.

I dont really mean that in an offensive way although it kinda is by its nature.

From a little kid I have rarely seen women without makeup on! The first time this hit me hard was when I lost my vplates and woke up next to a monster. It was like in the nightclub she was beauty *next morning* BEEAAST

So moral is, all women are ugly, so just practise with your makeup hair etc. Some girls look hot, but underneith all the **** on their face, they aint nothin terribly special.

They're eating, ****ting, farting machines like the rest of us with some mud on their face that tricks us poor guys.

So...this thread is trying to make the claim that people who are ugly have and do have it worse than racial minorities? than gender variant minorities? than women? than religious minorities? etc? .... Is this thread based even the slightest in reality? Care to show me where 'ugly' people have had the same kind of discrimination? Where they haven't been allowed in certain places merely for being 'ugly'? Or when they were beaten for being 'ugly'? Or when their rights were infringed on for being 'ugly'?

Before someone claims they get discriminated against in relationships, lets keep in mind that the idea of 'attractiveness' is subjective. So you may find someone ugly while another person will not. So this entire thread is based upon a false notion that there is some form of quantifiable 'ugliness'. Furthermore, even 'ugly' people can be in a relationship with someone who is 'attractive'.

The OP was just terribly thought out and is not based on reality. Ugly people can't have relationships? What? Ugly people are doomed to a life of disappointment and discrimination? When you can show that the discrimination (not someone's relationship preference) that occurs based on someone's perceived 'ugliness' and that it has been institutionalized ever, then I can agree that it is comparable to things like homophobia, racism, sexism, transphobia, etc.
