Oh dear, since it was only 2 marks we probably won't get any method marks either :/

I wrote x+5, BUT they might accept both, so don't worry!

Also, as this paper was easier than last years do you think grade boundaries will be considerably higher?

I'm aiming for an A* which was around 70% in last years right?

Posted from TSR Mobile
last year it was 112/175 about 60%, it shouldn't be too different this year
3. What did people get for the question on tangents and the curve? YOu had to form an equation, I got y=12x+9
4. does anyone have this exam paper and also do you know what topics came up today and what is likely to come up on friday so i can revise them thoroughly

what did you get for the factorising question that has 2y* and y* in it

i got y=12x+24, but i wasn't sure on it, so you were probably right!

2y^3 (+/-) 3y^2(+/-)6y(+/-)9 - cant remember the signs though hbu?

I'm guessing we're going to get more differentiation, quadratic sequences, algebraic manipulation, the trigonometric identities

How about the matrices one? I think I got x=4 and the y that went with it as well as x=6 y=-1/2 ?
13. For the tangent question I got y= 12x-19?
14. What did people get for the completing the square one - 2(x+3)^2-5.5 ?
15. Are you sure, the question for question 16 was x^(-2/3)=64/9??

, what was the full question. I put it in the format and c was -25

My teacher went through the paper afterwards and he predicts...
• Limiting factors
• Matrix transformations (the unit square)
• Stationary points + their nature
• Full equation of a tangent/perpendicular bisector
• Continuous functions (on graphs and finding the limits)
• Range of equations
• Simultaneous equations
• Sine Rule
• Cosine Rule
• 3D Trigonometry
• Trig Identities

Hope this helps everyone

19. are you all ready for the exam tomorrow morning
20. If you get a question on matrix that asks you to enlagrge a square how do you read of the matrix in a co-ordinates way!!!!!!!!!!!
