    Laughing at my calamity,
    I'll laugh at your success!
You fooled a fool now who's the best?
I'm not you and you're not me so leave me be.
    You ****ing tree.
    I came across TLM's thread,
It's one of the weirdest I've read.

    He requested a lyrical rhyme,
Although it is my lunch time.

    I thought I'd give it a go,
    Show him my rhythmic flow.

This is as far as I've got,
I hope this has taught you a lot.

    Enjoy my poem of joy,
My lunch, I'll know go and destroy... :coma:

I inspired this thread so gimme some props
Staying here for a while, while I kick it with rocks
Jump skip and hop, my way to the top
I get gwap so don't hate
cello tape a cape and investigate
    My flow is great.

    SN, RAPSTAR. MAKING DOUGH.
You probably did actually, didn't realise until I read this :yy:

It's cause my lyrical ability is off the hook.

    Go hard or go home.

    Feel me?

I ran away in my sleep
Spread my wings in my dreams
    Grew desires to achieve
    I aspired, then relieved
    Family which I grieve
    Lay covered in white sheets
    They were taken instantly
    No kisses on the cheek
    So I weep
    Suddenly, my future seemed oblique.

    A sonnet ! A sonnet !

What untold passion thrills the lonely heart ?
'tis not a looking glass for us to scry
When Cupid deigns to hurl his poison'd dart
Then meek and modest spinsters moan and sigh
The ink-stained screever yearns for flighty maid
And beef-fed goodwives cast their lusty glance
At pink-cheeked curates clad in cassocks frayed
And Venus leads them all a merry dance
The toothless crone of three-score years and ten
The snow-haired gaffer nodding by the fire
Are not immune to Aphrodite's yen
Their ancient parts awake to fresh desire
But all to no avail this wrinkl'd lust
For what stood proud in youth now gathers dust

If we are going to get biographical it is obviously time to write a clerihew, the poetical form for biography:

    Kim Jong-un
    Went hunting with a gun,
    But all he could snare
Was the man who cut his hair.
    Mr Kim
    Fat and dim
    Put uranium
    On his cranium

    Fossil

    On bleeding Oregon's casted shores,
Moulded in grotesque shapes and form,
    Haggard rocks on grinning seas,
A twisted wreck of haunted claws.

The hammer on the rocks awakes
The cracks of old from slumber,
The endless throes of silent screams,
As the laughter turns to dust.

    Now in cabinets it shines,
    Ammonites and trilobites,
    Gulping, gasping at the air,
    Coffee in a stolid fair.

This thread had the key for immortality
it built and crashed like the waves of the sea
but we watched it sink in sweet serenity.

If only those who stayed became
if only those who went had fame
a journey further than time'd be played.

We'd watch it go, and go with it.

    A water-based fruit with a rind,
In ruing the thread had declined,
    Said “It’s never enough
    To post lots of stuff;
    The quality must be refined.”

    The quality here was sublime,
you appear to not see with your eyes,
    your mind had decided,
    before it imbided,
that mine is a thread that's divine!

    Firm rhymes with worm
    Form rhymes with warm
    Farm rhymes with calm
    A masterful discourse on rhyming
    Neglected to mention that climbing
    From out of the pit
    Is crucial to wit;
A metrical foot can be chiming.

    Oh lovely lovey lady,
    you're the epitome of beauty
    Laying my eyes on you
    Sets my soul asunder
    Give me a few moments
Whilst I collect my soul back piece by piece

    Strolling across the river
    We held our hands
    You overflew me with emotions
    I simply can't resist you
    Please don't depart me
    As we cross the river
    Departing one another

    I shall not go astray
Your beauty soars through my path
    Attracting me towards your direction,
I hear your calling for me to reach your destination

    First ever attempted poem
