    How did everyone find it?

I thought the reading was pretty easy and I think I've done fairly well in that. I could have confused some of the names in the matching up, but I think the answers I put in the end were probably right. There was one phrase on question two, something with "porter" I was a bit unsure of, but I think I put "unloading the packages." I don't think it's right, but I tried to find something that would fit in the context because "wearing packaging" wouldn't be right.

I don't think I did as well on the listening and I think I've dropped a few marks in that, definitely on the last question, but hopefully overall I've still done well. I'm glad none of the papers were as hard as last year!

    Just found this:

    (Original post by smicer07)
    WJEC listening answers (higher)
    Q1 about jobs:

    I) E
    ii) B
    iii)G
    iv)A
    v)C
    vi) F

    Q2about spare time
should have ticked: he cycles a lot, goes skiing at Christmas, likes to wear nice clothes, works in restaurant

    Q3 about holidays
Olivier wants to go to Wales
    Laure's reaction is shocked/stunned
Olivier likes the beaches and the mountains
On holiday he would eat in local restaurants and visit castles

    Q4 Advert about Autolib cars
Can hire car at train stations
2 advantages: no noise/no pollution/ also possibly the ability to charge in at various places (not sure if last one will get mark, but prob)
    Takes 6 hours to charge
    travels 250km when fully charged

    Q5 about Pierre';s education
Pierre liked playing with his friends at school
He didn't like: reading and writing
He preferred maths because it's "useful in life"- utile dans la vie... bit of a strange one that IMO

When he was 12 he had to retake the year (redoubler= to retake) tough one that...
When he was 15 he decided to do an apprenticeship
On Saturdays he worked part time in a garage
People entering the world of work, according to him, need experience

Q6 final question about Marion Cotillard
    a) when she was little she liked drawing on walls and eating with her hands
    b) she didn't like the fact she couldn't do drama at school
    c) she refused to advertise beauty products because: she is very interested in protecting the environment and is against animal testing
    d) took her 7 years to become famous (this answer was in the man's question...tough)
    e) she thinks her job is difficult/hard and success doesn't come quickly
    f) She was called a national treasure by Di Caprio
    g) she is so famous because she's been in many popular films like Taxi, La vie en rose, Batman
    h) Apart from fame she is interested in "the small pleasures in life"

    WJEC Listening Higher answers 2013.

    Hope this again helps!!

wasn't 2b) go 3 time a year. and do you think 23-26 would scrape a B? a B was 26 last year but judging by peoples reactions to it, it was harder than the 2012 one?

reading question 1) answers that I put that I can remember:

    they stopped for fizzy drinks.

They couldn't sleep because they had slept in the coach and it was too cold. (LOL)

it was cancelled because they were late.

they were late for something/ journey from dover took so long because of a traffic jam... (emboutelaige)

something about why they were late for something else or missed something was because they had a punctured tyre

    and there headteacher drove

I think thats all but all probably wrong LOL

Can anyone remember if question 4 part d) asked for the number of km it could go, or the distance it could go. Because i just put 250 and i'm slightly worried that i'll lose another mark there?

The first one I thought was fresh drinks because they were thirsty.
The one about why they couldn't sleep was because it was too noisy and too cold, that's why they couldn't sleep in the coach, not because they already slept in the coach.
The match was cancelled because there was a lightening storm, not because they were late.

    Hope this helps
