Also finished Year 11 and did Art and Geography. Hated both of them with a passion! Only expecting a C in Art and B or lucky A in Geography because my teacher messed up the Geog CW marking.

I did Maths, English Lit, English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, ICT (compulsory at my school), German, History and Hospitality (my 'rest lesson' haha), and I've just done GCSE Russian alongside my A2s this year
GCSE Russian? I would have loved to do that! How did you find it? Was the grammar complicated? I've learnt a bit at home, not much

    Anyway, my compulsory GCSEs were:
    - Maths (love it)
    - English language (it's okay)
    - English literature (hate it)
    - Single science or whatever it's called

    What I picked:
    - Triple Science (chemistry and biology were okay, physics was good, but I didn't really like my teachers)
    - German (it was okay)
    - History (Northern Ireland was good, hated American West and medicine through time was decent)
    - IT (hated it with a passion, death by MS Word and PowerPoint)

Plus I got put into general studies (not sure if it's seen as a 'proper' GCSE) and Further Mathematics and I liked both of them

Our school started the GCSE courses during the last term, so I actually spend four terms being a Year 10 and two being a Year 9. After a term I'm happy with what I picked

    Compulsory

    Maths
    English Lang
    English Lit
    Chem
    Bio
    Physics
Further Maths (top set has to do this)
FMSQ (Additional Maths) it's a level 3 qualification, only 3 people in my school are doing it

    Options
    History
    Geography
    French
    RE (not compulsory)

Yeah my A-level German teacher lived there for a while and ran it for the year below me so I just kind of tagged along haha, it was horrible for a few days before I got a grasp of the alphabet, but after that it becomes a complete non-issue. We didn't go into a lot of grammar, which I'm told is one of the most difficult aspects - mostly it was just learning set phrases, as we did it in a year and didn't really have time to learn the reasoning behind it.
