    Replace "one" with "a g-string", "bracelets" with "thongs", and "watches" with "g-strings", and you have my exact problem.

    The thing about a watch is that I can't think of any circumstances where you will have to part with it for prolonged periods of time, just for security checks and the like. On the other hand, I should think that most people, or at least a large number shouldn't have their phone on them at work. You also get that it is so much easier to get the time with a quick turn of the wrist than pulling out and unlocking your phone. Finally, with a proper watch there is that "look at mah munyz" element too for the more vain among us
