    I've bought an iPad so that if I go abroad, I could access Internet more easily and wouldn't need to carry heavy laptop.. which would be useless because Internet is cheaper for a tablet rather than for the laptop in my home country :erm:

    The point of a student having an iPad is so that students with MacBooks and PC's can laugh at them for thinking they could get the same work as a student with a laptop done. You're best bet is going for a base MacBook Air instead of an iPad AND a laptop. The Air is light, fast, plenty of juice and is excellently built. Case Closed.
