Why does it have to be a 'phase' though?
I guess for many other things such as career ambitions take priority over children- opportunities weren't that available for young people as much as it is now.
it doesnt thats why I phrased it the way I did bahaha

I disagree.womens have had career ambitions the generation before us and the opportunities too. I guess its like japan then.jaysus I hope ireland doesnt go that way.

zero. pregnancy scares me; sounds like a parasite you can't get rid of (abortion controversy and everything). The idea of something moving independently INSIDE me just isn't appealing.

As many as my husband wanted, within reason.

I really don't want to have an only child, because I feel sorry for them. I would want at least two, but ideally more. My partner doesn't even want one (although sometimes he says he does which is why we're still together after six years) so this will be interesting..

I have one already a little girl whos 19 months and pottering around as I type this I'd like one more but not for another few years, pregnancy is beautiful, childbirth not that bad but parenting can be hard at times, I've had an implant put in so no more for me for a while, I've not had an urge to have another for a while, childcare is costing me £120 per week as it is and we want to send her to private school, I want to give her the best start so only will have 2 children to make sure I can achieve this.

Exactly how I feel. If I ever end up feeling at all maternal, I'll probably adopt, because the idea of *it* growing in me is just disgusting and horrible.
