    No, because I wouldn't be able to smell the BS that was coming from the mouths of people who suddenly wanted to be my friend.

    Smell is probably the only of the five main senses (yes, I know there are actually more than five senses) that I would sell for £800,000. It's also the only loss I've experienced (to my knowledge), as you essentially experience anosmia if you have a common cold.

    It exists. Some people have no sense of smell from birth due to genetic reasons, and if the olfactory receptor neurons in the nose are damaged or the olfactory nerve or the olfactory system in the brain is damaged, then loss of smell may occur.

    No, because a large part of tasting is you being able to smell the food. Id rather not have every thing taste all bland and horrible.

    this is the only reason i wouldn't

    smell = taste, guys.

    well, kind of.

    I'd sell "smell" for £80,000, let alone £800,000.
    I wouldn't sell taste at all.

    Maybe? But I'd seriously consider it though.

    it's like a catch 22 really because if I were rich I'd want to bathe in beautiful scents after I've had plastic surgery so I could be a cute pixie for my boyfriend but I wouldn't be able to smell what I smell like and that could be awful, however at this moment in time I don't really need my sense of smell that much but then I'm not rich either.

    But yeah I would.

    Yes because my sense of smell is almost non existent, so it wouldn't change much.

    No, the smell of rain and freshly cut grass is too precious

    I probably would because not only would I be £800 000 richer, my propensity for getting migraines due to overpowering smells would be gone. I'd be rich and migraine-free which is a pretty good deal.

    What's with all the crappy 'would your ... for so many pounds?'. Unless you have the £800,000 to pay us, seriously stop trolling and **** off.

    Sorry, I probably took it too far. There have just been so many of these theoretical and unrealistic threads on here that it's unreal, and quite depressing thinking what people would do for money. The answer is no, I would not sell any part of my body/senses for £800,000, unless you wanted to pay me £800,000 for a strand of my hair.
