Why would he stand for parliament when he doesn't believe in the system? I wouldn't. The system is inherently flawed. Anyone that becomes a politician within this system cannot invoke real change. That is a fact. They pander to the corporations that actually run the country, the private sector that funds them and keeps their privileged Eton educated arses in jobs and that is the way it'll always be until there is a revolution. Brand knows this and he is a bit of a loon. Its shocking that supposed holier than thou people who want to discredit Brand on here cant see this either.

Telling Brand to stand and become part of the system when he supports a revolution and hates the system is just dumb.
We don't need a revolution. I'd much sooner the well educated had the monopoly on where our country goes rather than some scumbag from a council estate.

I agree with what he says, some of the time. But not this.

As far as people attacking his "privilege", saying that he is a hypocrite...Its his status in society that allows what he says to be paid attention to- of course he knows he's got a better life than most, he's just simply using the fact he has more influence.

I'd praise anyone who has enough time to trawl through the video and pull it apart because there's just so much material here.

The worst thing is the number of views and amount of likes he gets.
When you look at who follows him, it's a mish mash of left wing students, Islamists, NWO conspiracy theorists and anti-semites.

I always judge someone by the company they keep.

Oh look, he can say 'expedient' instead of 'convenient' and 'immoral'.

Oh look, 'myopic' instead of 'ignorance'. Brilliant.

Of course white lives are sacred, of course Christian lives are sacred
It's kind of disingenuous to suggest this is the case. Crimes against whites in South Africa aren't as reported because it's a place where people suggest to be one of the murder capitals of the world. A village in Pakistan in an area under attack from the Taliban isn't newsworthy because it's keeps happening. It's also expected considering the army is at war with the Taliban. It is a guerilla war zone. It's the same as most of the deaths in the Eastern Front not being newsworthy, because it's a war.

If the Taliban killed loads of people in Bangladesh, that would be a news, because that doesn't happen often there. Hell even large numbers of deaths in China from mining and construction issues aren't as reported because it's expected because they lack safety laws.

There's also another level, something happening in this country being more newsworthy than something worse in another country. While France isn't the UK, the EU is becoming more like a country. It is also comparable to the UK as a first world nation with a high quality of life and a large emphasis on security. Someone going round with a gun in Paris is going to hit the news. Simple as. It's not the wild west, it's supposed to be the opposite.

*******s. The truth is so many Brits think this country is the greatest place ever and are so arrogant its unreal.
No one thinks that because it is obviously absurd.

Maybe, the Russians should take some notes considering their population and economy is collapsing around them as they speak.

So again, whats the nonsense he's spouting here? Sorry if the truth hurts but he is 100% right and we know the politicians wont do anything because of their vested interests.
He isn't telling the truth. He is only speaking about the motivations of the murderers without bothering to explain the ideology that is driving them to such extremes.

Of course, he wants to bring the normal trick of talking about Iraqi Causalities, even though virtually all of them were due to Muslims killing other Muslims.

Unless, he wants to address how Extremism is linked to the failure of Islam to reform, like Christianity, then he is deliberately obfuscating the issue.

    He's got a point.

We have killed millions and desroyed the Middle East, and are always blaming Muslims for everything.
In all fairness, we're not making people suicide bomb civilians (the main cause of civilian deaths) and we certainly didn't make Saddam Hussein's cousin gas 300,000 Kurds. People blame Muslims because it is Muslims doing these things. Apparently it was wrong for the US and the UK to remove Saddam Hussein from power, to try to set up a proper government and try to bring order to the country.

It's not their fault people felt incensed to murder civilians. It's like there's a refusal for order to come into existence.]

It would be interesting to see the alternative scenarios. What should everyone have done instead of invading Iraq/Afghanistan. I don't recall everyone spazzing out when we invaded the Balkan states because of mass killing.

Yeah, life's pretty great. If you live in the UK...I guess.

The classes are dividing further than ever before - the inequality gap is continuing to expand and only a minority is doing anything about it because the other Tory ***** won't because they'd rather sit on their over-privileged asses and watch the world go to pieces.

There are over 1 billion people starving. 30% in Britain living below the poverty line...and you think this OK? Make some more earl grey tea, sit on your suede sofa and try to pry open that closed mind of yours to see the world from a less affluent perspective.
