do u think u got in and i did the aluminium question i put that the negative electrode was made of steel but it is made of graphite. what r ur predicted grades?
I hope so. I really want to go there - it is convenient for me in terms of distance (10 min walk) and yhh, its an amazing school. I hope for our sake we did get in - I have been revising since December, some revision did pay off... Oh dang it, i wrote that it was made from iron... My predicted grades were initially 8a*s and 4as. But it changed because i did much better in my mocks - don't know yet, found out next week~? What about you?

That test wasn't bad. It was slightly easier than I thought. The maths paper was good although I didn't finish section B and left 2 questions in part A due to time. I think the physics test was actually probably the hardest of the ones I did, possibly because it was the first one I did. The Chemistry paper was my favorite; I noticed a common mistake people would have made in section A with the dot cross diagrams by not using the electrons on the outer shell. Who did the calculation questions and what did you guys get for the empirical formula It was CaWO4 you had to round up the decimal

    Yeah I got CaWO4 aswell .
I found physics quite easy .maths was challenging

Relative formula mass * Mass used/ 100. The rfm of tungsten fluoride was 296 and the mass used was 59. Multiply them together and then divide by 100 gave 177. something. It is quite a trick question a lot of people forget to divide by 100

Oh right, I thought you had to calculate the no. of moles which would be 59/296=0.2 (roughly). you need one mole of tungsten fluoride for every mole of tungsten produced so no. of moles of tungsten is 0.2 Finally multiply 0.2 by relative atomic mass of tungsten which gives you around 36.7grams of tungsten. I'm probably wrong though

    Same! i got CaWO4 too!
The tests were definately easier than i thought but challenging at the same time. For some reason i found Physics easier than Chemistry, oh well
