Well done! A month or so ago, you also posted the first quote above, where you said that you wanted to give up chemistry. I'm really pleased that you've managed to prove yourself wrong and show yourself that you can do it - never give up. :yep:

    Nice cake :awesome:
Thank you, I'm really pleased I've turned it around. I remember how I felt back then and I wouldn't have believed I'd do well in these exams. Just need to keep going in this direction

and thanks I was also proud of my little cake

    Hi,

today i I have made flashcards and printed out loads of revision notes. I'm also debating whether or not to resit my physics psa to get a few marks... Will go and see the teacher tomorrow for advice

Wow, sounds like some good subjects. I think it helps to be good at maths in physics but I find that my ability to do math doesn't really help me very much... Seems to be the other way round. And yeah, I really hate those questions too, but i can do them quite well, which exam board do you sit?
I'm doing OCR Physics spec A.
My college has given us some model solutions and definitions but they're completely different to the mark schemes so I'm struggling with how to revise for Physics.

I think it's really useful to make notes from the specification on their website. I do the same exam board and I know they can only ask what is on the spec. Otherwise it can be useful to take a question with the mark scheme and make model using that. I know teachers really hate it when you use the mark scheme but I think it can be really useful when creating model answers.
This does work for me, but everyone is different so I can't guarantee anything. Hope this helps

    Thanks - that's a great idea.
Also, have you completed the full specification yet / covered both units?

No problem, if you want any other help id be happy to help :blushing: Not yet, we have the quantum physics module and the rest of work and energy left. We haven't done anything other than PSAs since we got back at Christmas. You?

We did unit 2 first so we've finished that and now we've done the vectors, uniform acceleration, pressure, forces and motion sections for unit 1.

Cool, sounds like your not far from finishing

How did you find the quantum physics module? I've heard from some people it can be quite difficult but it looked ok to me.

Hello, today I have continued with my flash cards, yes they are taking forever but I will hopefully get them done soon.
I've also tested myself by going through them, and I feel quite confident with physics

    :elefant:

Tomorrow I have my first lesson of core 1 and 2 revision. Feels like ages since we finished them so it will be good to go back over them

Hey guys! Im doing my AS levels atm. Im really struggling with Maths, Bio, chem and psychology

I revise but I still fail
Exams are so close yet I feel so unprepared.

hi, I'm sorry you feel like that I'm also doing AS level now, so I cant say anything for sure, but I can give you some advice.

For maths it is so useful to do past papers, and loads of them. Repetition is maths best friend. For example I used to really struggle with S1 but I have went away and done so many past papers that I finally understand it now. I think this might be helpful for your other subjects as well, but I know it's helpful for maths.

but I know how you feel. I felt like that with chemistry, as you can see by the blog. But recently I've been doing well. And this is because I decided to be confident about my work. You seem pretty smart so I'm sure confidence is probably the thing that's holding you back.

    hope this helps

[QUOTE=Katniss15;54348571]Hello, aw thanks I was pretty proud of myself. As you can probably tell from the rest of this blog it doesn't really happen to me often. And how are your subjects going? Do you enjoy them?

hahaha! yes, they are going fine, enjoying maths and chemistry a lot but not as sure about psychology and biology is hard to get my head around! How about you?

Doing the same AS levels as you, and feel exactly the same!! have you done any recent mocks, if so how did you do?

To be honest, the quantum physics module isn't too bad - there's a couple of difficult concepts to grasp such as how anything can act like a wave and a particle - but I struggle more with the electricity section and the waves experiments.

Ok, I'll stop worrying about it

And same! I really struggle with the youngs double slits and the diffraction grating. Like I can remember the stuff for them but I don't actually understand them.

    hi,

oh that's good I'm pleased your enjoying them. And I'm sure you'll do well with psychology and biology!

I'm really enjoying maths and physics.. Definitely the ones I hope to carry on in A2. I'm starting to get there with chemistry, it's still taking a while but I'm heading in the right direction

So do you know what your wanting to do at uni? It sounds like you could do a lot with those subjects!

    Hi,

today i I had my first lesson of core one revision, and I found it really useful. ITv made me realise how long it has been since I've done core one. I need to brush up on a few things but I'm still finding it relatively easy.

Yeah - it just seems like you have to learn loads of experiment methods without really understanding then and then just write them down for the exam

Hey! I havent attempted a single past paper ever since we started  not good!

Thanks!! I really i hope i get 4 As by the end of this I am struggling so much in chemistry... Maybe because i havent attempted any past papers
