Hey all, i have a question.
My AS results were not too charming, quite disappointing to say the least.
I will be retaking all my AS modules alongside the A2 modules that i will be doing this year.
I did maths last year and gained a big fat U
Someone told me that i do not have to retake my maths modules and just leave them and pretend as if i never did maths before? Is that true? or was that person trying to meddle in my life :O
    Thanks x

Hey. I agree if you're addicted and procrastinate a lot on TSR. I personally don't, although I post around whenever I'm bored. Just did 3 hours of Economics and about to move onto Chemistry later. Balance is key, no?
Don't know anything about Economics but how are you finding Chemistry and are you first or second year?

You can drop the subject of course but you cannot pretend that you never did maths on UCAS; you must declare all grades, even Us.

Yep, thats exactly what i have done. Dropped the subject. So what i was told about not retaking the modules and leaving them as they are was basically not true?

Depends on how people use TSR. I'm usually in the maths thread receiving lots of help, so its Im spending my time on TSR productively
That's how I try to spend my time on TSR when I am on here but I prefer just being disconnected from the internet and working from my textbook. I don't think it helps that the threads on the side are not that educational: I keep clicking on them and ending up in random chats

You don't have to retake any modules but you can't pretend you didn't take the AS; you have to declare it when/if applying on UCAS.

A*A*A*A. Getting 80% in MAT would also be nice however that is unlikely to happen.

I'm going to post the grades I truly want, those are:

    AS - AAAA
A2 - A*A*A*, and of course an A at whichever subject I drop at AS

    Predicted by school: A*AA
    AS results:
    Biology A (93%)
    Economics A (95%)
    Maths C (69%)

    Dropped chemistry (B)

I am aiming for A*A*A* I would be happy with A*AA as thats my highest requirement.

Resitting all of AS maths. I did no work for maths last year. I was going over core 1 and 2 and they seem so easy. Should get 100%.

Ngoalby Chemistry notes are really helpful. Chemistry you could get D's and turn it around to A's with past papers they really help. I was getting C's and D's last year now with past papers getting 90 UMS + try not to worry too much
