Irregardless of whatever weight someone is using

If I was only doing 1-2 reps, then it's fair comment

Fine. I amend my statement to- "struggling with the bench press so much".

    Again: It's hardly struggling

You can't just go back to the weights you were lifting

    I couldn't do 60 for a single a month ago or so

So in terms of progress, it's in line with what's expected after a long absence

Its actually in line with his other lifts and probably a stronger (relatively speaking) area.

I think these guys just feel elitist because they probably rep 80-100kg. Which is funny in itself.

Thats why I asked if you stopped lifting in between, because I couldn't see how someone with the build in the pics above that post would be doing only 60*12 on the bench.

No I'm not strong. Just sort of intermediate.

My best bench is 100kg 2x6, so probably similar to monster before he took a break lifting.

    I know lol

also forgetting that bodybuilding works different / I'm pre-dieting

I'm progressing in the goal I'm aiming for

I want to do 60 for more sets/reps / more than once a week

Physique isn't always indicative of anything

    I'm small (for me)

When I could do 100, I was lot bigger

    just to add, based on how people responded when I was at my peak;

most people here are more into strength/lower overall volume

so trying to compare apples to oranges as it were

like they would say, "oh I can do the same weight as you" but you're much bigger??

forgetting they are only doing like 1-2 maximal sets a week with that weight

whilst I would do it for like 20-30 sets a week

hence I really don't like comparing people, just look at the progression

you're reading so much into it which I doubt was intended.

You look big in the picture so it's kinda a valid point that you weren't benching much weight - hence his question.

I'm surprised that so many extra posts were required lol

this forum has taken a strange turn recently

In One Ear - I didn't view your question as malice/trolling/negative

& you must be new to my style of writing lol

I've written 4,000 word posts before

I'm a fast typer, and tend to write without proof-reading/trying to achieve brevity

needed a scale, these were on clearance for £6 !

also to add, as a generic comment

I know I've taken time off a lot, not down to laziness or some such

it's because I'm like Levrone (and others) in that (and solely) this point

I find it hard to moderate , I'm either on/off

I'll diet fully, no pies etc, that's fine

    train 2 / 3 times a day

or I'll just eat crap processed food and not train lol

You shouldn't be training 2-3 times a day. The ****.

    Where the scales from
