I live roughly an hour away, I get the direct train to university. I also get the bus from the train station to the university, I could walk but it's 15 minutes and too cold. I'm in second year now.
I already have £2,200 saved. I didn't take a maintenance loan because I have to pay it back anyway so no point. I have taken out a maintenance grant and tution fee though. I get £3,387 in maintenance grant and I don't have to pay it back.
I have spent this year £530 on travelling. I pay £265 for my bus train and metro pass, it's valid until 31st December. Then, I will purchase another one which will be valid until 7th April and my lectures finish them anyway. If I have any exams or any reason to go in I'll just buy a ticket as its cheaper. I finish officially on 13th May. I have a 3 week break aswell before exam/assignment period begins.
When I finish second year I'll have:
£5,322. (Before working, I also work part time).
When I finish third year I'm hoping to have:
£8,179 saved. (Hoping to have £10,000 with my work money)
What should I do?
