His movies definitely flashy and stylstic but they always have an excellent story paired with them. Pulp fiction has been inspiting movie directiors to this date.
    Such as?

Res and PF brilliant. Things like IB and H8 mah except the opening scene for IB is masterful.

I dont believe anyone said Avatar was a gretqa film, it was flashy, kids liked it, but the story was so simplistic nobody kidded themselves it was great.

The one that normally crops up on these threads and is fashionable to dislike is Citizen Kane. One of the keys to understand why a film is sometimes viewed as great us to appreciate when it was made and the filmaking technique at the time. Really trting to think of fils I thought were awful when everyone else said they were good.

I'd say Gosford Park. Possibly the most boring film I've ever seen. Nothing really happens, and what does happen isn't very interesting. I really don't know what the critics see in it.

Have you watched it entirely? Have you watched the prequel?
    Yes and yes.

People try to redeem it by saying it jumps out of the typical superhero cliche, but I didn't see anything different about it. I found it boring and tasteless.

    Celeste + Jesse Forever.

it had an interesting premise (+ a fantastic soundtrack) but it just went rapidly downhill after the title sequence.

Lol I don't know what to say mate, I've watched tons of classic movies like the matrix, the usual suspects, fight club, the hunt and I can tell that the dark knight is a masterpiece of a movie. The movie does get out of the super hero cliches, its alot more focused on secondary characters and focused heavily on villains. The character development is amazing. Seeing batman being pushed against his moral boundaries is invigorating, Exploration of moral grey areas. Loads of dark humour with the Joker. Maybe you weren't in the right mind frame when watching this movie :/
