    You're a Shillary clinton supporter.
    Not particularly as it happens

You do like making assumptions based on very little evidence don't you !

Anyway this has been fun- but frankly trying to have a discussion with someone who has such blinkered and unreasoned ideas is a limited pleasure -

You have shown in the last few posts your ill throughout prejudices, your judging of people based on seeing them not as individuals and your capacity to make judgments on things you nothing about.

Do DM commenters just sit on the DM website all day waiting for stories to get angry at, such hilarious overly dramatic angry nonsense over something so trivial...
    Go to the Guardian online.
They get equally apoplectic over trivial **** in the opposite direction.
They are both cheeks on the same arse.
Mr Angry of Tunbridge Wells or Millie Tant and her hairy rant. You pay your money and takes yer pick.😁

It's disgusting that there are no Muslim Thomas the tank engines, the Muslim community represent a large proportion of society and deserve representation

So, has anyone thought of the possibility that the plot of this film involved Thomas racing against other trains from around the world? Hence the new characters?

I think everyone is too busy being outraged. I think all the DM commenters haven't even realised its a film.

Muslims make up about 4% of the UK population

Before there is a 'Muslim' tank (and one that doesn't explode and kill all of the other tanks /sarc) there should be an openly Gay tank
Or a vegan feminist tank that doesn't subscribe to social labels.

By the by, if you don't like a commercial product, you are more than welcome to vote with your feet. Jingoistic diatribe just outs you as the bigot you are.

For the record, India has a fantastic rail heritage worth learning about.

So its currently a $700m frachise and they are aiming to turn it into a $1.5-2 billion business by expanding in S America and Asia. It makes perfect sense to introduce characters that local kids can relate to as well as exploiting the brand. If anyone wnats an insight as to why thy explot the brand this way then go and read Mattels company reports and accounts on their site. Its moved on from since Wilbert Awdry created Thomas in 1943.

Are they going to have an episode where Thomas fights a member of the ETL (English Train League)?

To be honest, if they are expanding and want to add in my culture I don't mind. I hope they don't switch up the formula too much.
