Secondary school and we didn't gel at first. It progressed much slower than any of my other friendships which began there but has lasted the longest.

In y7. Bit of an odd story as I found out there was someone in my year who could speak the same language as me, and since I had never met someone outside my family who could I really wanted to meet her. She went to the same primary school as my now best friend and introduced us even though we were in the same form so we had the same classes together.
One to beat all others: one of my friends' best friend met through their parents. Their parents went to the same antenatal class and they were born within 24 hours of each other and are still best friends

He was my best friends boyfriend, and when they broke up, i was pretty much his only friend left in the whole of sixth form. And then he had a bit of a thing for me, which I shut down immediately, and then he moved to australia where he is now, and we talk whenever we can due to the time difference.

we used to sit near each other in physics, surrounded by boys who would slack off a lot and do their own ****, so then we started talking.

then our seating areas got changed in chemistry and we ended up sitting next to each other, by then we would talk a lot.

then also in maths we were seated next to each other. we also started going to the library together and choosing each other as partners in p.e.

Me and my best friend knew each other from school, but we didn't become close until we started talking on MSN. Remember that? :'D

Well, I met her when I was in Year 1 so about aged six. We disliked each other because I thought she was too quiet and she thought I was too loud.

Twelve years on and that dynamic hasn't really changed, but unfortunately we're stuck with each other now.

On tsr: I can tell him everything and he's so funny and perfect and all round amazing. I can't get enough of his company
