    CTM - Cleanse, Tone, Moisturise.

Do this daily, twice a day. Before you sleep, apply tea tree oil to wherever your acne is. I noticed a difference within a week of doing this daily.
There's actually a lot of evidence to suggest that washing too much can upset the balance of the skin and cause it to produce more sebum to compensate for irritation, thus causing/worsening acne.

Seriously? Does that apply to your hair too? Because strangely and oddly enough I randomly get acne on my scalp (this is only when my acne worsens- mostly when I'm stressed or during summer) and I wash my hair often so that it's clean etc, shall I stop this or...

Sorry for the title but I am so TIRED of acne. I had a flawless face before I started A-Levels and since then it's been absolute hell! And it's getting worse each day! I have a lot of acne on my forehead and chest. Now it has started appearing on my back and moved down my face (at a rapid pace!).

Does anyone have any general remedies that work? Please don't give me the whole "see your doctor acne is specific etc etc" because I have seen my GP and I have creams and lotions, but they just do not work at all. They somewhat reduce the inflammation but more and more spots are appearing! I'm at a point where I look at myself and feel disgusting; I have such a destroyed, acne filled and dead face. It is honestly destroying my confidence and I honestly feel horrid. I eat relatively well and drink plenty of water so I have no idea what the cause might be????
I tried every face wash, cream etc but nothing worked when I was younger n had acne. I swear by sudocream. Only thing that works for me. Worth a try

I love the way you asked, and then proceeded to insinuate that I don't before I've even answered  Yes, I'm well aware of the effects and had private bloods done every couple of months while running the main course. Now that I'm only running a maintenance dose I get bloods done every 6 months, last ones a couple months ago were all good as usual. Think NAC is helping my liver values as they're better now than they were on the initial test before I even took my first dose
That's because it's a rhetorical question. You might think you know what you're doing because you've read a couple of websites or something but you can't hope to actually understand what you're doing to yourself. But whatever, it's your body to destroy as you please

Yes, I did. You get bloods done privately and apparently seem to give yourself infusions of NAC (not sure how you get hold of that either... Presumably same way you get hold of Isotretinoin). What's your point?

Nice of you to go back and read it. Now, if I have bloods done and everything comes back fine every time, there is no issue. As I also said, I'm now on a maintenance dose of 2 tablets per week. People do more damage to themselves having a weekend drink (I don't drink btw).

I've done a lot more than 2 pages worth of research btw. Try 8 years worth. Your ability to make assumptions is quite something.

No idea why you two are arguing about this.

I had, in fact, read it the first time. The only thing you convinced me of is that you're still continuing to play doctor without any training. It's actually quite easy to make assumptions about your level of understanding even if you do have 8 years of Dr Google experience behind you. Unless, of course, those 8 years included completing a degree in Medicine (and preferably MRCP too, since it's really only specialists who are supposed to be prescribing the drug in question). In which case I apologise and retract my claim that you don't know what you're doing

Initially I was trying to warn him against being reckless with his body. But ultimately now, you're right. Instead of heeding a doctor's advice, he's just getting defensive. So there's no point in continuing to argue

I use pure tea tree oil straight from the bottle onto an ear bud. I use the oil how you would use a spot treatment, by touching each spot with the ear bud. It really works I've been doing it for years! I find the best results using the oil undiluted however it may be too strong for your skin so test a small patch first before you use it on your spots undiluted. You can buy the oil from boots for around 5 pounds

You probably won't like my solution but try eating vegan, or cutting dairy out. It has worked really well for me, and I don't wake up with a really oily face anymore.
Also if you get an abundance of spots in a particular place, for instance your forehead, google it as it could indicate if something is wrong within your body or if you're not getting enough of a nutrient or something.
But it could be stress as A-levels=stress.
I've heard a lot of people who have cut out dairy and found it clears up their acne so worth a try maybe ?
