1.5

5/3.5
Unofficial mark sceme physics section.
1) electromagnetic [4]
A) infrared then radio
B) cant remember this question
C) microwaves - high up (ie on a hill) & put masts close together.

2) digital & analogue [6]
Easier to remove background bc has set values so u know what one it is. Digital - multiplexing - repeatable

3) diffusion [3]
Wave length us the same
Gap is smaller in A -
More diffraction occurs.

4) payback time etc. [6]
A) loft insulation - stops heat from leaving via conduction
Double glazing - air layer means heat cant confuct iut bc air acts as insulator.
B) is worth getting cavity wall because pays back in 3.5 years which is shorter than the 5years she stated.
C) should get cavity wall - saves £600 other one only saves £495

5) ozone & graph [5]
A) 1.9 or 2. Not sure
B) the year mentioned is the lowest point so it agree with what the question said.
C) overall trend is that the higher one is the lower the other is.
D) cant rememeber what this was.
E) international agreement needed so everyone stops using cfcs / so ozone stops depleting / less uv in/ helps everyone

Missing 2 marks - if you remember what they were or have any disagreements just comment. ( also there was a question on analysing data and you had to pick oil - what section was it in & what was the answer/question )

How many marks will be an A? Any idea..Thanks.
i failed that. if i got a high a in controlled assessment and a d on this paper what would i need on paper 2 to get a b overall?
Just gutted about the physics six mark question, first part of the question I really did not get but the the second part of the question was so easy to do, didn't have time to complete it though :frown:

I hope it's below 50 for an A . Last year it was 47.
I wrote 0 for the wavelength difference... what a flop
