A capital city is meant to be the place in a country where there is much emotional and cultural attachment with the rest of the country, and respect is given by that capital to the rest of the country and vice versa. To think where we are now with London, supposedly England's capital city, where people are now calling for independence, FROM ENGLAND.

The referendum has shown that London is becoming something different within England, that no longer reflects the rest of England.
Perhaps Birmingham, with a narrow leave vote, would be more appropriate as capital city of England?

Having lived in London, hated it, got numerous lung problems because of pollution, couldn't sleep at night bc traffic on a main road, couldn't go anywhere bc overcrowding, got bullied relentlessly can say hand on heart you are welcome to that tropical abyss.
