Not really, not from what I can tell.
Fair enough. not enough info atm.

If this goes through, I expect rioting in Germany and France ...

Al-jazera: sources speak of involvment of fethullah gulen ( not really up to date with turkish affairs but who is he?)
Influential man within Turkey that was quite powerful prior to Erdogan.

Has a Hippi - Islam movement that is all about peace and etc.

Ran lots of schools and etc.

Tbh, that is from what I remember off the top of my head.

    Why?

I understand that they have large Turkish populations but why would they riot>

It's good news for Boris. He offended Erdogan. This presents him with a fresh slate, and hopefully he can go about not offending the new leader.
Clearly Boris masterminded this coup to avoid the embarrassment of meeting Erdogan.

Well, as per my knowledge, a lot of German Turks support Erdogan's government.

Maybe not riot, but protest at least.

I'm meant to be going to Turkey on Tuesday though. How violent?! Will violence go on throughout the whole of Turkey or just in Istanbul or Ankara?
Who knows at this stage. I'd wait until the home office updates their travel advice (I'd imagine tomorrow) before cancelling anything. But as said before, you might find that your insurance is not valid if you do go.

If I was to put my money on anything, I would guess probably less peaceful than the 2014 coup in Thailand where the government didn't really have any authority in the first place. And there is always the question of whether Russia decides to get opportunistically involved in which case I would recommend not being anywhere near Turkey.

He is a Cleric type figure living in the US. He and Erdogan were allies at one point, he apparently has loads of supporters throughout the Turkish state. In the past year or two Erdogan has done his best to purge so called "Gulist" influence from the state, firing intelligence officers and shutting down newspapers affiliated with Gulden. He has been a go to bogey man like the kurds for Erdogan, so I have no clue if there is any truth behind any of it.

It's difficult to tell exactly the extent of what's going to happen but this has the potential to be very very messy.

Wanna bet? F16s flying overhead, where'd they get them from...?

(I don't believe the US should be blamed, but it'll still happen...)

Not a fan of Erdogan so if this displaces his regime I'd be pleased.
