It's hardly an outlandish prediction given the signings we've made this summer (assuming Pogba joins too). Even in our worst season in living memory with a non existent attack and a clueless manager we were only 5pts off 2nd place.

2013-14 was worse in terms of points. So you rate David Moyes over LVG
(that said, he'll bring Jones and Januzaj to Sunderland and they'll be comfortably mid table)

    Yes, I do.

I rate Harry Redknapp over that turkey neck fraud.

It's probably that half their squad is dead and Bruce looked to have quit because he wasn't allowed to bring in replacements tbf.
They outplayed Sheffield Wednesday in the last game of the season, so the squad isn't half dead. Even then, they have some decent depth.

Van Gaal did win the CL with Ajax. To write him off after one season is knee jerk at its finest.

Also lol at anyone who thinks Everton will finish above Leicester. Other than lazy "Lesta can't keep up momentum" that plagued these boards last season, I genuinely have no idea why they won't. Leicester dominated the league and were consistently the best, they finished 34 points ahead of Everton and have strengthened far better than Everton.

Sporting Index are a very experienced company.

They currently have Leicesters points as 55.5 to buy 54 to sell while Evertons are 55 and 53.5 respectively.

Not that I'm saying you're wrong. In fact Alex Deacon of the Racing and Football Outlook says Leicesters odds are a joke and he can't wait to make to make money from trading the bookies gross overestimation of the big fours chances.

It looks as if Everton are going to be selling two of their best players so obviously if Leicester keep Mahrez and they have the same luck with injuries as last season they have a decent chance but to be as certain as you are about something that a respected company has as a close thing seems a bit strange.Regression to the mean will likely have something to say on this matter methinks.

Twenty years ago. He was a good manager in the 90s but not now. He very nearly took Bayern out of the CL places in Germany too let's not forget. They had to sack him before the season even ended.

Leicester will struggle with the CL and let's not forget Everton now have Koeman instead of the useless Martinez. My prediction is based on them selling Stones and investing the money - saw them linked with Ashley Williams from Swansea which would be an excellent start.

Personally I think Leicester can match Ranieri's CL best position (semi-final) - but that will cost them a few league places.

Arsenal will be champions, buying a decent striker will change the dynamics of our team completely and you will see a much more ruthless Arsenal.

We will win the league with games to spare imo. All of this finishing 2nd-4th rubbish is a false flag.

Arsenal have made bottling an artform; and you're not getting a striker - Vardy turned you down straight off the bat, you missed the boat on higuain and you're pissing around with poor bids for lacazette that have already come from other clubs and been rejected.

It's the same thing we've all been saying for years - you need a striker but your recruitment is dreadful.

This is Arsene's last year in all likelihood, it will be different. He is going out all guns blazing.

By making derisory bids for lacazette, while better bids from west ham have already been rejected a month ago? Proper full out that

Never do anything to impact in the top four though. You're basically a bit of a bigger version of West Brom or Sunderland. Just sort of there, making up the numbers but never offering anything near a title challenge.

Still more titles than Arsenal will win in the next 20 years tbf.

Kante wasn't our best player - very good player but it's Mahrez and Vardy who do the damage; and so far Amartey is looking like a good possible replacement.
You've won a total of 5 trophies in the entire existence of your club (excluding Promotion Titles), and Arsenal FC have won 4 trophies in the last two years. So, how can you possibly say that you're going to win more titles than Arsenal in the next 20 years?

We might not have won the league in the last 10 years, but we've won a golden premier league title, which is something that Leicester, nor any other club will ever achieve.

I also don't think you will be able to hold on to Mahrez. It's going to be a long season, so it will be interesting to see how Leicester copes with the pressure of the Champions League.

That you won't win another title until the club has had a complete overhaul top to bottom, everything from owners to your training methods (there's a player welfare issue with you lot that borders on gross negligence with how often players get injured and how long they're out for). As for 4 trophies in the last two years - two FA cups and? We may have only one top flight title, but we're heading upwards, while you're content to tread water positionally while drifting well behind the rest of the sides at the top.

We might not have won the league in the last 10 years, but we've won a golden premier league title, which is something that Leicester, nor any other club will ever achieve.
Regardless, you're going the way of Liverpool - a modern day irrelevancy who apparently used to be big when we had to fight off saber tooth cats for our meals.

Despite him being happy here and on the verge of signing a new contract? Big club arrogance or just plain insular to the point that you don't even know what's going on outside of your own club, even when it makes the back pages?

there will always be those ignorant fans with unlimiting self-belief and no realism. don't bother with those.
(the majority of Arsenal fans are sick of the way the owners are treating the club, really. Them not paying for the season ticket or TV subscription is all they can do)

I don't think Arsenal are going the way of Liverpool at all.

They are setting themselves up for years and years of achievement . Wenger has laid solid foundations the like of which are scarcely seen in clubs outside of perhaps Germany.

It just needs someone to start pulling the trigger.

    Probably not Wenger though.

Edit sorry for mixing my metaphors

The foundations aren't exactly solid - their setup behind the scenes is dreadful, particularly in terms of injuries; how many soft tissue injuries they get, how many setbacks the players have in their recovery... and the penny pinching they've been doing as part of recruitment has seen them repeatedly fail to plug the gaps (a top striker is discussed every year and has been since Henry left, yet they've pratted around trying to act clever with Suarez and what couldn't be described as a serious bid for the likes of Lacazette). At best you can say they've got the stadium and the reputation, but their transfer policy has been akin to a bloke going down to the corner shop for a pint of milk for breakfast and only coming back with a pack of cigarettes and a copy of nuts.
