I'm so disappointed right now... I was aiming for 8 A* so that I could get an honory scholarship - I really wanted it as my family is not doing well financially. I worked my ass off so hard and I missed it by one A*. I got 87/100 for RS and I'm thinking about sending it for a remark but I just dont know if it will be enough time before the scholarships are actually given out and whether or not it is worth it...I'm just a mess right now. I know it seems like good grades but everyone has different expectations of themselves and I put aside basically everything so that I could achieve those 8 A*s and I just screwed up somewhere. Idk

    Future ambitions
Was aiming for Oxbridge at first but don't know now... Academics were literally the only thing I focused on, I had zero social life and it didn't even pay off. I know I'm sounding unappreciative but when you aim so high and when you AND everyone else expects more of you, it really puts you down. Everyone thought I was gonna get a scholarship and I'm basically the 'nerd' of my boarding house and now I'm so embarrassed that I'm not getting it... Damn. :/

Aside from that, I hope that everyone else did as well as they expected.

No need to worry - very few people achieve what you did. In fact I've found my grades were about average, but lower than most on here. I guess the students who use this site are generally among the brightest, with me being an exception.

You can 100% still aim for Oxbridge with those grades.

I'm actually really disappointed with my results. When I first got them, everyone was ecstatic and said 'Congrats!', but my face said otherwise. It's just a bit... crap considering that I got 6 A*'s in my mocks and 5 A's. What I find even more irritating is that I was 2 UMS marks off an A* in Chemistry and 6 UMS marks off an A* in Biology and Physics.
The biggest consolation for me was that I got full marks on my Music Exam and my AQA C3 exam.

    Future ambitions
I'm still gonna do A-levels in Maths, Biology and Chemistry, but with the lack of A*'s, I definitely know two people who won't be happy with my results.

I have no idea what my predicted grades were because my school never bothered to tell me 🙄
    But I got:
    A in English language
    A in history
    A in biology (last year)
    B in chemistry
    B in re
    B in physics
    B in English literature
    B in maths
    C in French
And honestly... I'm gutted. I think it's mostly down to weird exams and high boundaries, but I think I deserved more than that. It says a lot that I managed a b in English lit but last year I got an a in biology (which I'm bad at). And I'm disappointed with French, but the teaching at my school was awful so it could have been worse.

I'm gutted with English literature as I'd really worked hard for an A*, but I might get one paper remarked as I'm only 2 raw marks off that A*. I didn't get on well with my French teacher, so that is not a surprise. Other than that, I'm really happy!
