    I watched a programme about the solving of Fermat's Last Theorem. I didn't understand the solution (although all the experts seemed awed by it), but it all seemed horribly important.

    Did make me quite happy not to be a mathematician though. :teehee:

    The Riemann Series Theorem

    In the given order

     

\sum_{n=1}^{\infty} \frac{(-1)^{n+1}}{n}  = \log 2

    but given any desired real answer it is possible to rearrange the series, sum it in the new order, and achieve the desired real sum.

    Works more generally for conditionally convergent series
