The point of this exercise is not to criticise non-conventional grammar but to reward its good usage.

    Are you edders' official brown-noser?
I'm pretty sure that that's musicboy, although he does a similar job for all of the mods.

LOL - my understanding is that Edders will also procede to punish poor grammatical performance with negative reputation points
Pah you can't never have two many split infinitives and double negatives.

It's a semi-exclamation, i.e. one that lacks an exclamation mark.
    Oh, was it an instruction?

    You've suddenly gone very pedantic!
Sorry, but this whole campaign is pedantic (not that I don't think it's a good idea), so I have to fit in.

If you interpret it as such.

You need a subject and a verb for it to be a sentence. For example: Jesus wept; the shortest sentence in the Bible.

That's the only way i can interpret it to have it grammatically correct.

I insist that it isn't pedantic. We're not going to criticise - we're only to praise.

I will give rep to the person who can insult edders in the most original, entertaining and gramatically correct fashion.
Brains aren't everything. In fact in your case they're nothing

What's the difference between 'business grammar' and Standard English?

Well, to be pedantic, you need a subject noun and a verb. It is also good style, where possible, to employ an object noun.

For intance: "The chicken crossed the road".

'The chicken' being the subject noun. The verb is the word 'crossed', and 'the road' is the object noun.

Negative reinforcement can be just as influential as positive reinforcement you know (if not more so).

Great, now everybody is saying that they'll rep epople who use good grammar, i better try harder. Do people deserve no credit for explaining the rules of cricket in detail for no apparent reason?

Accepted. It will be of paramount importance to construct and enhance grammatical sentences when expressing key points and to justify underlying meanings, IN EXAMINATIONS.

damn i should have done a levels in essay subjects ;/
No - you are a science-brain - you would not have done so well as you will do in the examinations you took.
