Was the same when I got the A levels result: Sadness first, anger after that. One day or other I thought: give it a ****, they are just marks. You ake your life anyway. And I was right.

Got mediocre grades in both my GCSEs and IB Diploma, and now in my last year of university my average is a 71%, ergo I will be aiming for a First (with my dissertation tutor being an eminence on her field of study) and currently applying for master' degrees at the likes of Oxford, Cambridge, Durham, LSE, King's, Nottingham or Southampton.

I will be studying physics at a world top 10 uni next year, despite being labelled a lazy good-for-nothing kid as a child.
I was never exactly stupid academically, but I never worked hard; I never memorised stuff and was consequently terrible at stuff like history and literature. Even at maths, I never memorised my times tables and was therefore unable to solve any problem that had to do with multiplication and the like. At one point though, my interest in academics was heightened and I started actually paying an effort and turned out to be somewhat good at it.
Out of interest, what uni are you going to be at?

That I will make my own way. And I made. The marks were irrelevant.

I'm still unsure what degree you're doing... Economics?
Cba applying to different Unis for postgraduate when you can stay at your current Uni...

Yeahhh , it is suprising how much better you can do when you actually care about subjects lmao.

    At school, German GCSE: D.
    Last year, German AS: A
Predicted for A2: A, but aiming for A*

I am devoted to German but then it kinda impacts my other subjects, thankfully I'm only doing one other atm.

But yeah you can do a lot better if you show an interest and really enjoy the subject you're going for lmao

Not even close, as I am actually doing a BA in History & Archaeology at Birkbeck. However, I was originally intent on getting into Graduate Medicine, but as that it is a rather costly endeavour, I am trying to keep an open mindset and that's the main reason why I am applying to a bunch of unrelated things:

    - PGDip in Nursing (UCAS form just sent in)
    - MSc in Human Osteoarchaeology, Paleopathology or Bioarchaeology and Forensic Anthropology
    - MSc Theory and History of International Relations/MSc in Anthropology and Development Management (LSE)
    - MPhil in Human Evolutionary Studies
    - Graduate programmes at PwC, Lloyds (HR), Barclays, BoE, BA, BT and NHS
    - PGCE History (with my choices being Oxford, Cambridge and UCL/IoE --> my Professional Skills tests are already booked for December)

    Yeah!
Normally Cambridge exams is way easier than i did in French
And Economics i have such a badluck, what i knew well wasn't in paper and we had a 6 point question which we never covered at school

    I would like to add
Some were able to do that question because it comes from a past paper they did before in tuition
    And only 1 got A*
    2 got As i think or 3
    No Bs
    Many got Cs
Many got Ds and some i think failed too

I was predicted Cs in virtually everything and Bs in my best subjects. At the end I got Bs in my C subjects and As/A*s in my best ones.

Predictions are something else. I'm actually pointing out on a subject you were extremly week, got Cs or something then worked hard and got A*/A
