I would join the MoHC but I have a feeling I'd just get utterly infuriated like I do when I watch Question Time with people talking about things they're not really educated about and therefore it's best left alone

It's difficult to see all this lefties in clear need of leadership and guidance seeing as I so rarely stray from the Model House of Commons.

Ah well, you can still join the party though (we got private sub-forums ) - then you get to just talk to people who do know what they're talking about.

Usually I wouldn't invite people to join but the general election is next week and during that we basically won't be allowed to talk to people outside the MHoC (can't canvass votes) XD

I disagreed with it. I just feel as though 'life imprisonment' should mean exactly that. Once you've executed someone, that's that. No chance of a retrial in light of new evidence etc, etc. Also, I believe an eye for an eye makes the world go blind

Obviously I disagree with killing anyone who commits a serious crime, but for the worst of the worst who simply cannot be rehabilitated...

There exists a TSR Socialist Party so that takes most of the actual commies or people who border communism. I don't think there's an active member who's genuinely lefter than Corbyn.

Depends how you'd define those terms. They're pretty tricky.

Here's some examples. Of the couple of dozen members who might semi-regularly profer an opinion:

A majority (but probably not an entirety) would support renationalising the railways.
About half would support unilateral disarmament (touchy subject lol).
A very large majority would support quite an expansive increase in Trade Union rights.
A very small majority would support lowered defence spending.
Everyone would support higher taxes on the wealthiest and I haven't heard anyone disagree with lowering VAT but there'd be disagreement on corporation tax, inheritance tax and wealth taxes.
No one would support actually taking all industry (or massive, expensive to acquire manufacturing industries) into state control (that lot go to the Socialists) though I expect a couple want much more state intervention in the energy sector.
Everyone supports worker's cooperatives (businesses where the important decisions are made collectively by employees who share in the profits).
Pretty much everyone supports the state directly investing in businesses where the private sector fails to do so.
Most members dislike Tony Blair but recognise him as a 'successful/competent politician/leader'. A lot of members like Gordon Brown.
The party is torn on Corbyn but Miliband is popular. Everyone loves Clement Attlee, a lot of people love Tony Benn.
