Ooh I don't really know, most of my favourite tracks are spread across all albums and a couple of their EPs (yet to hear all of them). I think I'd say Geogaddi, it's their most consistent effort (their other two albums have a few dull tracks in my opinion), and has a wonderfully dark atmosphere. I love the Hi Scores EP too
    Do you have a favourite?

My mainstreamness is couldn't-care-less %. It doesn't particularly matter, it doesn't show anything about the quality of the music you listen to and it certainly isn't an accurate figure because it's done through last.fm which obvious impacts the mainstream values and skews the data. I don't think I need to explain why... it's obvious. Anyway... I like what I like because I think it's good. How mainstream it is doesn't make a difference to me. If you really want to know how mainstream I am you can use that calculator thing to work it out for yourselves!

Geogaddi is by far the best IMO. Dayvan Cowboy is about the best song not on Geogaddi.

Interesting. I wouldn't have expected CocoRosie to be more mainstream than Antony & The Johnsons, nor that Kate Bush would only be a tiny fraction more popular than Leonard Cohen. And Martha Wainwright only 5.75% that is a SCANDAL!!!

Oh, and apparently I'm 53.70% mainstream. It'd be interesting to see the percentage of someone who only listened to current Top 10 Chart stuff.
I think the percentage would be quite a lot lower because a lot of last.fm's listeners tend to frown upon that sort of thing and so the big-selling artists right now would be less important on the site.

Arcade Fire only 6.68%? That's nearly four times (ish:p: ) less commercial than Devendra Banhart!

I clearly have no idea of what the kids are listening to these days. :mute: I thought Arcade Fire were really big (and rightly so) and that the only people listening to Devendra were me and a couple seventy year old hippies desperately clinging to their last Woodstock-based LSD trips.

Incidentally, I actually only joined last.fm today and OH MY GOD I think I'm in love!!!

I'm pretty unfamiliar with Devendra Banhart, but I know more than a couple of people my age (I'm 18) who are quite big fans of him. As far as I'm aware they don't use last.fm though!
That Arcade Fire score is baffling though, as far as really alternative music goes I thought it didn't get much more popular
