I would go for Oxford, UCL, LSE, KCL and Bristol.
if that was in response to me -- thanks very much for the input! thing is, i have less than stellar gcses (mixture of mostly as and bs, a couple of a*s) considering i'm a law applicant so i'm not quite sure about lse :\ i emailed them to ask if they placed less emphasis on gcses for post-qualification applicants and they said i could be considered, but i'd still be at a disadvantage :\

think i'll still apply to qmul as that's my insurance -- given my gcses i'm a little nervous applying, even though i know it's not necessarily a disadvantage with oxford, certainly, as they gave me an interview for a different subject last year; ucl i was rejected by within a couple of weeks, and kcl included me in the last batch of rejections they sent out. so i'm a little nervous about re-applying to those two.

i'm curious as to why not durham though...?

Whatever happens I will still aplly to Warwick, Bath and Durham, but I have no idea about the other two, this may be because I possibly have changed my course slightly

I'm confused, to many decisions to be made to soon!!

I'm definately applying to York and Durham for English, but I've still got to decide on my other three. I've thought about Oxford and Leicester, and then my final choice being Cardiff, Manchester or Sheffield.

I'm just a bit concerned that I should possibly have a slightly less competitive university for my final choice. :\
