    I can get the papers from edexcel website but inserts are nowhere to be found!!

    The inserts are at the last page of the pdf document.

    ziad123, what aspect of cyclotron do you not understand? It's basically a machine that makes accelerates the particle, in a way that is about similar to a linac but a cyclotron's main purpose is to save space as a linac will have to be really long as the electron gets faster.

    PHY6 has a raw mark of 80. Whatever score you obtained from that 80, it will be converted to X, which is over 120. X is your UMS mark. Are you an A level student? :p:

    Don't spend too much time reading the inserts. Just skim through it albeit carefully and go straight to the questions. Experience tells me that answers to the questions are often a 'cut and paste' from the extract. But do take note of the equations or the description of one. e.g. X is proportional to Y etc..
