Am I the only one that thinks it unfair that women and men get the same prize money? If women want equal prize money they should play five sets too...

you're not alone - we've debated this on TSR at times and the majority of us believe the female players shouldn't get equal pay, for various reasons.

Then we would all die of boredom! :p:

It totally annoys me though. It's not equality - it's blatant discrimination against male players. A male player will get, effectively, less money per set than a female player - it's completely sexist!

Men play best of 5, and, as a rule, their matches go on for a lot longer than women's. So they should be paid with respect to that. It's really out of order to pay men and women the same.

Well it says quite a lot about you.
What exactly does it say about me? I didn't even watch their match so excuse me if I wasn't exactly jumping to know everyone elses opinion about it. The men's final is more talked about this year because of the posibility of Nadal finally beating Federer at Wimbledon. I wanted to know what everyone else thought about that match. If you wanted to know everyone's opinion on the Women's final then why didn't you create a poll?

And it's 'whom', not "'who' are you supporting?"
Pedantic much?

I would have voted Safin, apart from I've only just seen this thread and given he's out now I'm rooting for Nadal.

I feel it's Nadal's year.
It is Nadal's year!

I thought it was a superb final, although I only got to watch it today after I recorded it on Sky+ (Sky+ = greatest system on the planet when it works ).
